Time To Start A Class Action Lawsuit Against Ubisoft Over Their Regular Incompetence?

What's the point of continuing to sell this game if it is unplayable?

You should discuss this with an attorney.I think you would find it enlightening.

There was a PS3 game that I liked called MAG, this was an online-only game. After a few years, they shut the servers down, unfortunately. A couple years after that I was still seeing it on the shelf at some stores being sold under the used games. I was wondering how they could sell a game that you literally couldn't play, all you could do is look at the title screen.

Granted, there have been lots of issues with UPlay(Often called U-Don't-Play), UbiSoft Connect(Often called Ubisoft Disconnect) and even server/client funtime issues.

Still, lawsuits are messy and often a complete time sink. You are better off just contacting Ubisoft Tech Support and getting a solution that way instead of trying to rely on courts to intervene and fix things. Ubisoft support might act in a couple of weeks to months. Courts often take years to decades.

It is just not worth it. I know you are frustrated, but at least give them a chance to work things out. I know we are all mad at the "evil corporations", still as far as large game publishers go, Ubisoft lately tends to be least evil and often just incompetent instead of malicious.

I know it is a really low bar, but these days; it is better than at least 80% or more of the industry.

You can tell who never bothered to read the terms of use

The Services are supplied “as is”, without any guarantees, conditions, warranties or other terms as to
Note: the US version has a similar clause, so good luck with that.

[edit] the same is true for other publishers

    Fever dream / cream
Pretty sure these crashes and issues are well covered under Eula.
My personal experience as a TD2 casual player - I had almost no issues until this year March 23 UConnect "update" that indeed made the game unplayable for everyone. Very unfortunate and extremely annoying, also a head scratcher as it took Ubisoft a few good days to fix something that should have been easy to identify and eliminate (or just do a GD roll back of Connect).
What I suspect it's happening is that the seasons reruns are left to be done by junior staff - they are "just" reruns, right?! Also, there are some missteps with Connect, so combine the two and you get what we got. Probably the rest of the team is split between the new promised content and the new SW project...
I don't think your idea has any feet to stand on, it will only create forum drama.
    Popcorn indeed.

Nah, saving my popcorn for when they put out a similar game with the Star Wars tag on it. Can't wait to see what Disney would do when it turns out to be just as bad, or worse. Then we'll see who has the deepest pockets. But there are countries that have very strict customer laws, so if you live there and purchased the game recently you might have a case for refunding. And EULA's never hold up in court when local or international laws are broken, companies do not make them, it's merely a guideline for providing services.

yeah, let them screw Star Wars up for months on end with a CTD issue. Then they will realize that TD fanboys are nothing but a drop in the bucket compared to that player base. Def save the popcorn for that as itll be fun to watch.
