Experimenting is almost never a bad mistake. In this case it may leave you with a not-perfectly-optimal build for that character in the end, but you might never know what's more optimal for you without experimentation.

The main thing to keep in mind is that a "wipe" of the Watch points is a bit of work: you must delete the character and run a new one through the level 31-40 campaign, which will also lose all your specialization points. Running through the campaign should be easier the second time around, though, since you both know the missions and may have saved your better gear from the previous run. (If you feel you might be re-running that campaign, it's worth saving at least some of your best items for a few levels there, perhaps around levels 31, 34 and 37. I estimate a fairly complete collection to keep you "overpowered" during the campaign would be about two to three dozen items, but even if you keep far fewer than that, it can still be helpful.)

Lot of players don't get the Keener mission - you don't go in with you offensive skills running a pulse and shield is all that is needed to kill his skills and when he comes out you focus on the drones he launches taking them out and kill him he's unless without his drones.

that is why he calls the player a muppet , someone who cant think for himself , maybe a DEV just wanted to do a meme for everyone that just runs the META skill build straigth out of some YTer video to cheese everything.

I think that's pretty reasonable thing to do for an optional mission, or perhaps a not-too-hard main mission, but for the capstone of a campaign I think that's probably more frustrating than necessary for some players.

remember they did the exact same thing in what we can consider the two biggest boss fights in the game ,the keener and floor 100 fights, excluding raids of course.

jokes apart maybe they were trying to force people to try something diferent from the no work skills cheese, strange way to do it but its MASSIVE, the GEs also feel like an attempt to make you think outside of the box.

I would quit before starting over. Its been quite the learning process & with all the crashing problems of late that did not help either. I just thought OH NO another bone head move buy yours truly. Actually my 3rd player gets the best results. The first two on paper appear stronger but the third gets results which is what really matters. I bumped the last player up globally first then followed with the first two. Even though the first two have exotics they are weaker.

I understood that & went in with a pulse & something else, I forget but not a turret or drone. Turns out the pulse & whatever did not work so I shot my way out with an M1a & an AR.
The M1a did a great job of one shooting his turret drone & other skills. The AR worked good as well. On another character I used an M1a & Chameleon but the Chameleon because of bullet spread or whatever did not work nearly as well.

I have told players not to bring in offensive skill of course they don't listen and die by their own skills or get trapped in the building with all the skills sitting out the door as soon as he pulses - I just leave sometimes when doing that mission.

Best way is have everyone destroy skills and when the box lights up who ever is the best shot or best weapon for itwill takes the boxes out while everyone else keeps destroying skills as you move around the missile.
When he comes out you look for the drones over his head first and destroy them and then shoot him and as he launches more you keep taking them out and he goes down easy.
