I've noticed that very, very few players have posted their personal best times in the Big Bend Street Race summit event using a vehicle has never been officially released: the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Road Force One.
Saying that, this is not the first time I've seen the Road Force One; I first saw it in the Street Racing HQ hours before the start of The Crew 2 Second Anniversary bonuses. It was listed in a bundle, but no matter how hard I tried, I did not get that vehicle. That one vehicle!
The second time I saw it, was in Live Battle, where a very skilled player used said vehicle in a few races.
It's only non-purchasable appearance in the Street Racing HQ, it's appearance in Live Battle, and it's appearance as a vehicle used to post a personal best time for the summit event, made me think: when will the Road Force One be "officially" released, if ever?
It's very unlikely, but it would help greatly if a Ubisoft staff member can set the record straight.
I have it. RF1 was available for a few hours between weekly reset and maintenance, this was almost a year ago.
Originally this is one of 4 CC-only bundle cars. 1st car was of course Eclipse Star Edition. RF1 was meant to be 2nd, followed by Veyron Deep Blue and Roadrunner Freedom. Last 2 cars were then repurposed as summit rewards in the next update. RF1 became available on its originally schedulled time only to be pulled back within few hours.
IVT said they're going to re-release RF1 for bucks at a later date but this was a long time ago. I kinda expected them to do it on US president 2020 election but maybe they felt this one was a bit controversal to celebrate. July 4 is the next probable date. But they also have another GT500 Americar edition ready to be released in S2E2, so maybe RF1 re-release is canceled now.
About 9 months ago an IVT employee said in a Reddit topic it would definately be available in the future, but it wouldn't be the first time they promised something to the comunity...
