Put Raid Locked Gear Into The Open World

No I am not talking about Exotics. That's fine as long as they're fairly balanced. I'm talking about gear set pieces. I shouldn't have to find a group to a raid in order to get a build for my character I think is interesting. It's unreasonable to gate that behind a wall like a raid. You can't get it from discovery. It has to be in a normal raid difficulty. It's impossible to find a raid group because they all have stupid restriction to tryhard to beat the time record. Sorry buddy I'm not spending time farming for full red everything with max crit chance and crit damage when my skill build does just as much damage if not more than your pathetic standard gun build. Then you got them demanding you run certain weapons. No smgs and no shotguns unless you are a designated tank or support. Like seriously? Keep exotics gated behind that wall but gear set pieces shouldn't be. I could care less about the eagle bearer or the new exotic rifle and pistol and the backpack needs nerfing btw. Tired of seeing everyone run it on their builds. 3 core attributes? Seriously?
Other than that everything should be in the open world. Exotics are fair to gate due to the rarity and that's how top tier rarity goes in looter shooters but standard gear shouldn't be gated and unobtainable to solo players.

TBF, both Bulwark and Initiative body and back aint required in order to create solid tank or healer build.
Good to have, but not mandatory at all.

As already mentioned – gloves, kneepads, holsters and masks for both FI and FB are available everywhere in the game. And for both Gear Sets backpacks and chests aren't mandatory indeed. In fact, most players prefer to play an Alps backpack with Safeguard on their FI-build. And the named Gila Guard chest is very effective for a FB shield-tank. So there already are a lot of ways to create interesting and efficient builds.

Weeeell... I do agree that some groups have ridiculous demandings. And trying to do speedruns with agents who are new to the Raids is indeed a stupid idea. But Raids are all about teamwork. and if an agent wants to benefit from the chances to get special rewards with or even from the teammates, they should also be willing to contribute something. And a feasible build is the least thing an unexperienced player can prepare for a Raid.

Especially as Raids are different than regular missions (even legendary strongholds). They require much more add control, teamplay, and mastering mechanics and timings. While the current skill-build-drone/turret-meta turns on the easy mode for new and casual agents for basically every content, they do not work within the Raids. You will need a lot of DPS to complete Dark Hours. And you will need even more special builds (like healers, supporters, CCs, DDs, tanks) for Iron Horse. So demanding to be able to be carried or guided through a Raid while not wanting to prepare for it will most probably drive away even the most helpful teams and clans...

My group is very chill in that matter
Just have a dps build with as much crit chance and dmg as you can have.
You don't need godrolls but you do need decent rolls.
We're not gonna 'Carry carry' people.
Let me say it like this: by helping us you help yourself.

The thing is your skills will distract bosses if there are no adds to kill
Therefor you mess up the run
If that happens a couple times, people will kick you or they leave because they are nice enough to not kick you

I agree with you. Putting exotics behind a raid wall doesnt make sense either since its hell to find a raid group that is patient and really want to help out, esp new players. I tried but most groups/people are toxic, thinking they are everything cause they beat the raid and what not. There was a time they needed help but now that they got what they wanted they refuse to pay it forward. Its how most people are, selfish! If you are on pc id like to help if you still need it.

I 100% disagree. and not all raid groups are "toxic" yes some are and you leave. Its a raid for 8 people, not 7 and a carry . Youtube has great vids to learn loadouts and strats. There are great groups that will "help" you with raiding. But to carry you and hand you gear is a bit overwhelming to ask a group as they once had to learn it and gear up .

Massive you screwed up by nerfing the eb and adding/ nerfing aces and neg to the general loot pool due to casual players. Dont unlock raid exclusive gear to casual players , instead make them earn it like everyone else .
