Hello I have a suggestion for your for honor game, before you decide not to read further please understand I’m just trying to make the game better so feel free to use this suggestion in anyway, you can ask any of your customers the biggest problem with for honor is when you’re playing dominion and having a 1v1 with somebody but then the whole team comes and kills you, which can be frustrating and it’s the number one reason why people stop playing your game, I bought this game when it first came out but stopped playing it for this exact reason, this game is about honor and yet your system doesn’t honor that. My suggestion is that you already have the combat emote feature, use that in a way so that it both players do the combat emote it automatically becomes a 1v1 and nobody else can join in until the fight is over. This is the perfect way to keep the flow of the game going but at the same time let people have fair fights. People normally emote before 1v1s anyways. If you don’t want to take my suggestion cool but do something to fix this problem. I promise once you do a lot of your fans that stopped playing will come back and it will bring more people into the game, this game has so much potential but it’s little things like this that makes Ubisoft games not enjoyable.

Dominion is a 4v4 team based objective game mode. Ganking enemy players is a viable tactic to keep the enemy team disadvantaged.
If you get caught fighting the entire enemy team, then you hold out as long as possible while hopefully your team is doing something useful.
I love fighting 4v1 because it means I am keeping THE ENTIRE TEAM BUSY while my team caps the other zones and then comes to find me after. (Unless I'm dead which is common against 4 opponents)
I agree with Gaser. Duels are there for a reason. You want 1v1? Go there.
I get what you mean and if you happen to join a 4v1 under your own accord that’s your problem but the idea for the game is to have honor in your fights it literally in the name, and what’s honorable about having a a fight to yourself and then you’re about to kill the person and then he calls his whole team and they 4v1 you. That’s not what the game is supposed to be. I’m not saying that every fight has to be a 1v1 situation. 4v4 is a team game mode and that’s great. But there should be a way for people to have their fair one. I don’t expect duels in dominion but there’s certain situations where you’re having that 1v1 and you don’t want anybody to join. The idea of the game mode also isn’t to get jumped every fight. And no it doesn’t mean you’re out of position, sometimes it does, but most of the time you can be on a point by yourself, somebody comes you fight and when you’re about to kill them the team comes, that’s not you being out of position. People don’t respect the honor system so I say make a way so people have to respect what the game was based on. And that’s honor.

There’s literally no way to restrict people to 1v1 situations in the 4v4 game modes. Nobody really fights “honorably.” If they see an enemy, then they’re going to attack them, regardless of whether or not one of their teammates is already fighting them. Unless I see one of my teammates struggling, I’m not going to fight the same opponent. If I do help them, I’ll let them get the final hit so they can get the execution and heal.Originally Posted by MrBdur Go to original post
Please don’t try to pull the honor card, it doesn’t work and is not the idea of a teammode.Originally Posted by Flarrow24 Go to original post
Honor is made up system from people, don’t expect it in 4v4.
The option is already there and we have already informed you multiple times. It's called "Duel".Originally Posted by Flarrow24 Go to original post
This whole "it's supposed to be honorable" arguement is just a tad bit... uhh... dumb...
Basically you're arguing for something that would ultimately cause WAY MORE imbalance in dominion because you don't personally like the system. You aren't asking for this because it would benefit the overall game and community. It would only benefit you and the other folks who refuse to adapt and learn.
I used to get mad about the honor system and getting ganged up on in Dominion too.
That was 3-4 years ago though when the game was still new.
In an objective based game mode, you do whatever necessary to get your objective. That is the only goal. Who cares about honor when you can just respawn?
Even as a Dark Souls vet who would abide by honor codes back then and hence can relate, the argument "the game is about honor" is just dumb as hell and shows how green some people are behind their ears. It is really mind boggeling how many people just can't get their heads around that title. The game is not based on "honor" it is a fighting game of knights vs samurai vs vikings with different game modes. The title is a catchy phrase they came up with and which is also explained in the story mode. The title of the game isn't exactly about a honor code, it is about what you fight for and that, when you succeed and achieve victory you gain prestige. So one can say the honor of being the victor.
But it does not even really matter. You play 4v4. You have to take into account 3 other people coming in any time to disrupt a fight between individuals. And that is fine. Sometimes you cannot do much about about - it happens - but then on the other hand you might have granted your team the opportunity to go elsewhere on the map and take those zones and points in the meantime. That is the overall goal of the mode! Gaining points by doing the objective! Not 1v1ing in a corner once in a while against a repeating or different foe at a tim that does not do the overall objective any good. With such an attitude you can even be the reason why your team loses in the end. If you want 1v1 go to duels or deathmatch - simple as that.
I often see people use this kind of pitiful complaint of having no honor in the game as an excuse for their lack of skills to handle the art of combat outside a 1v1 and poor play.
The argument often indicates that they cannot get rid of an opponenent quickly and take way too much time staring them down. As a result they get punished for it and they need to. If they are too used to slow paced duelling or deathmatch (the mode where you find the greatest 1v1 turtle culture there is) they need to learn to buckle up. The other lack possibly here that I oftentimes find prominent in brawls is that these people simply cannot defend against multiple opponents (even if you make it clear with proper indications beforehand that it is a brawl to begin with).
I get that it is quite demanding at times but I really enjoy the 1vX situations in dominion. For people that cannot cope with that I recommend to learn about team fighting by first getting into brawls and insist on going really 2v2. From there you can translate some of the aquired skills towards dominion and will eventually enjoy what the mode offers in all of its aspects.
With the pretentious "honor code" you are doing yourself no good in the end. You won't git gud (grow as a player) and you won't achieve honor (only pity). If anything the honor in For Honor lies in enduring, adapting and eventually overcoming and succeeding. That makes a good player. Not one that refuses to learn the game. Now go out there and train - don't find yourself excuses.
