The 20 Worst Events In The Crew 2!!

So far there is 251 events in total, as much as some events are really good there are some really bad events due to either bad checkpoint placement, bad track layout design and BOT (back on track) exploits, the bad events have not been fixed 3 years into the game:

1 - Serial Jumpers (Touring Car)

    2 - Big Land (Hypercar)

3 - Bay Area To Central Valley (Street Race)

4 - High Speed Takedown The Chase (Hypercar)

5 - The Eight (Demolition Derby)

6 - Wide Wide West (Monster Truck)

    7 - South Trip (Hypercar)

8 - Central Valley (Rally Cross)

9 - The Strange Case of 1950s (Street Race)

10 - Jersey City Chaebung Cup (Touring Car)

    11 - Latrells Car Part 1 (Hypercar)

12 - Glacier Park Special Stage (Rally Cross)

13 - Sights on Sin City The Chase (Hypercar)

14 - Pikes Peak Mountain (Street Race)

15 - The Middle of Nowhere (Street Race)

16 - Big Bend (Street Race)

17 - The Delivery (Air Race)

18 - Beat The Duke (Touring Car/Powerboat/Alpha GP

Maybe you should add reasons why you don't like them - such a "the world is bad"-post will not help improving anything.

I will add a few comments from my point of view:

1 - Serial Jumpers (Touring Car) --> way too often in the summit, but well, you can choose freely and personally, I like it. But please, don't put it in the summit again!

2 - Big Land (Hypercar) --> why? Ok, it's more or less boring, but a good track for HC starters. And I see no issues with BOT or checkpoints.

5 - The Eight (Demolition Derby) --> it's crazy, but well, it's DD...

6 - Wide Wide West (Monster Truck) --> What's the issue here? Once again it is boring but ok for starters.

7 - South Trip (Hypercar) --> I love the track - but the BOT-glitch near the end should be fixed!!!

9 - The Strange Case of 1950s (Street Race) --> once again why?

14 - Pikes Peak Mountain (Street Race) --> it's a fun race. Yes, you can cut a lot (which I löike). BOT should be penalized, though. Without BOT, cutting does still give an advantage but needs more skill.

15 - The Middle of Nowhere (Street Race) --> I really like it - what's your issue here?

19 - Aircraft Cemetery (Demolition Derby) --> see above

Fair point i should have given reasons as to why they are bad events so im happy to explain here based on your choices:

1 - Serial Jumpers - reason being the track makes no sense, when would ever touring cars be used outside there circuits but in a race that has 10-20 ramps, yes its a game and one would say its meant to be fun but there is no fun in jumping ramps with touring cars, the track design itself is fine and would be a good event if they removed the ramps but there failure to add any events to the touring car is evident because they cant come up with actual events for that discipline, there is so much map space that isn't used that would be ideal for touring cars to be used and driven, the crew 1 had better touring car events like long beach and west coast that were fun to play, touring cars dont need to be restricted to the respective circuits and can be used on open roads, we need sprint style a-b touring car races.

2 - Big Land (HC) - Its all about driving in a straight line which can get incredibly boring, at the beginning the event was fine but overtime its spammed to no end in PVP when i have played that mode because all players want to do is slipstream to oblivion, events are better when they make use of open road that has corners/turns and you need actual skill to drive, yes it maybe a decent track for a beginner in the hypercar discipline but i would only play it once and then never touch it again.

5 - The Eight (DD) - Simple reason the AI, the AI is really badly designed in this event especially as you move up based on the difficulty, the AI has no clue and will run into the player without even attempting to move out the way and all they do is follow the player instead of actually racing like all other DD events, yes you may think it requires skill to beat this event less say on ace difficulty but to me its not about skill and its more about luck similar to how rubbish the RNG system is in the game.

6 - Wide Wide West (MT) - Similar to Big Land race there is nothing fun about this race, if you play for the event for the first time its fine but again all your doing is driving in a straight line to the end with a few deviations and there is no fun in that, it maybe a mood event and the purpose was to use the location based on the reference to the film including its filter and choice of music but the devs could have used something better, compared to Dakota Grassland Dirt Race and Wreck and Hovac those events are far better and require better skill from the player if they want to set a competitive time and place on leaderboards Wide Wide West not much so.

7 - South Trip Hypercar (HC) - Driving on highways is just boring, there is no skill and all you do is just drive and maintain top speed with a few corners, towards to the end of the race is much better compared to the beginning and the middle part of this event, its also another event that is played way to often in PVP for the same reason of slipstreaming.

9 - The Strange Case of 1950s (SR) - One Straight line at the start, then one left turn and then pretty much driving straight to the end, again no fun and it seems like the event was thought of at the last moment with no actual thought process put in similar to miami ride street race event, again better map use with a better location would have been better but they team choose to waste it on this rubbish they could come up with.

14 - Pikes Peak Mountain (SR) - Simple reason bad checkpoint placement,

15 - The Middle Of Nowhere (SR) - Bad checkpoint placement, there is at least 3 cuts in this event including 2 bot resets, if they fix the checkpoint placement or add barriers to prevent cuts then its actually a fun short event.

19 - Aircraft Cemetery (DD) - Same reason as with The Eight Event.

As a point to #1, remember this game is not based on realism. It's an arcade game. In that, it's not based on simulation driving but arcade. Therefore, we can't reason that realism plays a big role in decision-making for this game. Arguably, many choices in this game would most likely kill our own driver as well as others.

Furthermore, if you want to claim that "circuit cars" would not be seen outside a track, you are very wrong. A "circuit car" is a car that has weight and performance modifications in order to handle circuit specifications. However, both those modification types are not limited to just tracks. If you've watched illegal street racing videos on YT or events IRL, there's a reason they are illegal besides the activity. NoS, weight reduction, modified performance parts, etc can re-class these vehicles as "circuit cars" spec-wise, but, they are not on a track.

An example of this, taken from another game, GTA: Chinatown Wars.

The protagonist, Huang Lee, is tasked to assist Hsin Joaming's son, Chan, to help win an illegal street race so he can prove his worth to the Triads (and his ego). There is one small catch...each of the competitor's vehicles have been modified to the point they reach the same specs as circuit cars. Weight reduction modifications being the main point of interest. Due to these illegal modifications, Chan is sure to lose...unless Huang can "even" the competition somehow.

Point here is, just because Serial Jumpers allows TC vehicles outside a racetrack does not mean it isn't realistic. Furthermore, based on illegal street races and an example from another video game, "circuit cars" can be created from ordinary ground vehicles through illegal and specific modifications. Among these are weight reduction, specialized performance parts and NoS, to name a few.

Nobody is talking about realism here. It's about (re)playability of tracks. Are they technical and challenging or just plain boring or in worst case just annoying to drive.

Serial Jumpers is one of the worst tracks (if not the worst track), because it is designed what IVT is thinking is fun. There should be more TC-tracks outside of circuits, but - by god - without two dozens of stupid ramps.

Tracks like Latrell Part 1 or NY are basicly nice tracks, but the checkpoint-placement completely ruins them. Latrell Part 1 - in the state it is in the game - should be a rallyraid-track and not a hypercar-track.

I think you misunderstood my point, i am not against having touring car races only restricted to there respective circuits, by all means there needs to be touring car races on normal city roads, sprint style touring car races would be really cool and in general touring cars are fun to drive, instead of going around laps around circuits which can become incredibly boring after played handful of times there should have more events added to that discipline but instead we only 1 event since release of the game that gave us a new track and the worst track of any racing game serial jumpers, like i mentioned the track itself is fine but the ramps make the event the worst to play, where is the fun of either using the ramps or avoiding the ramps, a race should be about using proper skills and trying to get the fastest time by the route offered without any stupid obstacles, its a normal event not a specific race like stunt events currently offered and as stated from Don.B._CN IVT designed it based on what they think is fun and believe if anybody was to give feedback on that event they will clearly state is absolute rubbish event and embarrassment to the game.

All these races with dodgy checkpoints and no mention of New York? Or does its having a few corners negate the fact you can cut a good 15% of it? And most of that is arguably the best bit of driving road in the entire race.

Let's be honest, the checkpoint placement and/or activation zones need a total revamp on all land and water based events. The fact you can go outside of them is bad enough, but the distance you can miss some by and still have it count is ridiculous.
