My idea for one of the new heroes coming in year of the covenants would be a viking assassin called the Trapper.

Key visuals:
>Leather armor with lots of animal pelts, teeth, claws, bones, etc.
>Would have little to no chainmail armor.
>One visual can maybe have an eyepatch similar to https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D0rA7kQWkAAh-rq.jpg.
>Would have male and female options for the gender.
>In terms of height/size, he’d be somewhere around the Berserker.

Weapon(s):
Two daggers
>For some visuals the daggers can be identical, and others can be asymmetrical (i.e. have a “ying and yang” appearance).

Themes/concepts:
>Master hunter.
>Designed for hunting/tracking other heroes and ambushing them.
>Would have several trap-related feats, in addition to other feats that a hunter-like character would have.
>Would excel in 1v1 combat. Being able to (effectively/successfully) fight 2 or more opponents would depend on player skill.
>Would have a very low health pool like the Shinobi, so players would have to rely heavily on dodging, bleed damage, etc.

Fighting style/moveset:
>Predatory
>Quick and agile.
>Fast attacks.
>Short-range, but high mobility.
>Would have several opportunities to cause bleed damage.

Possible feat options:
The ones in bold are my top choices for each tier, but feel free to comment if you think another one would be better.
>Tier 1:
>Stealth: hide yourself from the HUD, radar, and aim assist (passive)
>Rush: trigger to gain movement speed for a short duration
>Bounty hunter: gain health and stamina when you kill another hero (passive)
>Deadly: attacks deal more damage (passive)
>Stun trap: trap that stuns enemies
>Iron lungs: you can still sprint when out of stamina (passive)
>Qi trap: set a trap that reveals the position of enemies who pass over the trap
>Deadly duet: deal 20% more damage in close quarters combat against an enemy who is alone (passive)
>Tier 2:
>Bear trap: medium damage trap that stops victims in their tracks
>Doom banner: nearby enemies have lower defense and attacks while within range
>Marked for death: reveal target position and lower its attack and defense
>Thick skin: gain moderate damage reduction (passive)
>Executioner’s respite: the base healing of executions are increased by 50% (passive)
>Tier 3:
>Sharpen blade: attacks inflict low damage over time
>Long bow: fire a long bow for moderate damage
>Slip through: dodging raises attack for a short duration (passive)
>Fury: raise sprint speed slightly and attack and defense greatly
>Thread of fate: Bind an enemy. Bound enemy can't run, sprint or roll. Bind is broken over time or by distancing yourself.
>Tier 4:
>Nail bomb: a trap dealing bleed damage in an area of effect
>Scout: all enemies are marked for death and show up on radar
>Fear itself: enemies around you have lower stamina regeneration and defenses
>Regenerate: regenerate your health when out of combat (passive)

Possible perk options:
These are my top choices (with the one in bold being their default perk), but feel free to comment if you think another one would be better. Keep in mind that vanguards tend to have offensive and/or defensive perks, heavies and hybrids tend to have defensive and/or assist ones, and assassins tend to have offensive ones. However, there are some exceptions to this, such as the Tiandi, who has assist perks.
>Remedy: upon hero kill, heal +10 health
>Devourer: upon execution, heal an additional +10 health
>Early reaper: upon spawn or when revived, first attack deals 30% more damage
>Endurance: when gaining a renown level, receive 3% stamina cost reduction (max 4 gains)
>Last stand: when in critical health, gain 40% damage resistance
>Head hunter: for each unique player/bot hero executed, increased max health +4 (max 4 increases)
>Rapid refresh: upon takedown or when reviving an ally, feats’ active cooldowns are reduced by 5%

Signature ideas:
>The Trapper takes a few steps forward while simultaneously flipping/tossing his daggers (similarly to https://64.media.tumblr.com/5c670558...kb9o1_640.gifv).

Execution ideas:
>The enemy attempts to run away, but the Trapper throws a hatchet at their back. They fall down, and the Trapper runs up and cuts their head off with his daggers.
>The Trapper tackles the enemy to the ground and repeatedly stabs them in the chest.
