Angry Rant, feel free to add.

I am seriously so ******g fed up with this game. I ******g love the concept, I really do, but the fact that brainlets that spam lights and don't even think about their moves are always killing me just makes me feel like complete ****. I got into Diamond alst season, but that doesn't ******g matter because I'm not there for good defence, I'm there because I can mixup. Nobody seems to ******g care in group modes though because they throw random **** out, forcing me to 'react' to it. Yeah, let me just react to a ******g 300ms light from Tiandi. With the average reaction speed of the average human being around 250ms, and modern systems still having about 30ms of overall lag (input, latency and visual), that's a great ******g idea. I can't parry lights even at my best because I'm not blessed with a reaction speed.

Here's an idea you can shove up your ***, make combo lights only available from certain directions. Stops light spamming and still allows you stupid ***** to try and make offense a meta. Conquorer is a great example of this. If you want a fast combo light, you gotta think about it and not mindlessly throw. Instead I gotta feel like **** because the rep 70 Orochi over there never learnt more than his basic light chain. Why would he learn anything else if he's just getting rewarded for it over and over?

The most I can personally do is bait **** out, and that's hard against a Jorm who is just obsessed with trying to take the lead. Somehow the **** hits me mid dodge even if I do predict he's gonna go for his fast af starting light. Trust me, I've tried zoning on red as well, but I just ******g eat the attack anyway because I'm not fast.

This entire rant might sound childish like "Why the **** can't I do what half of these ***** can do?' but at the end of the day, I want to play For Honor competitively because it's the only game of its type. Too bad someone put a ******g orangutan in charge. They don't need to listen to us because we already brought the game and they've figured out they're not getting anymore money from it. I mean, they stopped making the class specific executions for a reason, because they're lazy *****. Instead we get this ******** that every class has, and they don't even think off tweaking it for the character.

I know there's gonna be some smart *** who's like 'But lightspam is easy to deal with'. My answer? Go **** yourself. If it was easy for everyone to deal with, people like me wouldn't be complaining. We don't have the reaction time to parry it. I could deflect every light attack thrown at me in the first year of this game, now I'll get one once a match because I either guessed or got lucky when I randomly dodged. It is infuriating when I feel like I've finally gotten good at a character, but I'm being completely shut down because someone let their little sister press left click 30 times whilst they were taking a piss.

Seriously **** this game. I'm probably going to end up playing it tomorrow and getting this angry still, because of the concept of this poorly executed piece of ****, ignore the pun.

Have you ever heard of making a read?

I can make reads when they're encroching on my combo/turn . And some of their attacks mid combo, but I completely fail when it comes to the first light or 3 random ones. I don't know if it's the fact I'm considering more than just lights or that my reaction speed is actually ******g abysmal, but I just seem to fail. I've tried all of the training grounds stuff, but I just... seem to suck, even after playing this game before launch. Don't get me wrong, I'm ******g chuffed with myself for getting into Diamond, but one thing I consistently lose to is a silver player who gets aggressive without knowing their character. Holy ****, it's so bad with Kensei's aswell. Other characters give you a chance to dodge the lights or get a deflect from a read/bait, but the hyper armor on Kensei on any finisher plus the fact that his light hitboxes are janky af for people who dodge is horrible. If a Kensei uses the rest of their kit, it's actually fun to fight.

Use frame advantage and the ability to dodge out. Maybe try a nonreflexguard hero if your current choice is rg.

It is actually not a reflex, 500ms lights are unreactable. They can be dodged, they can be predicted, but reactionblocking them is actually impossible for most players. Try to look for that silver's habits, even if it is just light chain after light chain, they will have a pattern.

I feel you, man. Light spammers are the main reason I started playing characters with HA- there's a special satisfaction to smacking a Orochi in the face with a big *** sword. Even then, it can be rough if they catch me before or after the HA window is over.

ok I´m 37 YO and can react to lights on pc and mostly also on console.

You need to set the bots in the arena to only light combos. Practice daily 30 mins. I recomend kensei, orochi , cent and valk in that order. Kensei is better at it than orochi trust me. just block, no need to parry.

I practice without red markers but I´m truly hardcore, to the point i can train for 6 hours straight. right now I´m practicing against shaman to destroy every player with her.

today an orochi tried to lightspamming me on dominion, got smacked so hard he rage quited. With my pk a reflex guard char, I can parry his lights no problem. To beat me mixes and 50/50 or 33/33/33 are a must.

Just do what i tell you, if you are younger than me chances are your muscle memory is not that great right now. Neurons can grow with just pure repetition.

If you want to truly be antilightspam do the training without markers, just MEMORIZE the animation, for example the animation of the light and the heavy in orochi and kensei on their top lights at firts look the same, they are not I can readily identifiy when it will be a light or heavy looking on their hands (and the upside foot movement of the kensei is a characteristic on his top light). I literally dreamed FH lights and the parryng the first week. You have been warned is not a cool feeling to dream only that every time you sleep.
