These changes are not something to be overlooked, they are all things that I believe were required to be made. Like for example top light was useless for 4 years, you would never use it as Berserker, now you can.

I agree the changes Zerk got were necessary. I like the enhanced lights.

I ALSO think his armor needs revising.

I am absolutely not the only one who thinks so. Look. In this thread alone there are multiple users agreeing.

    Think before you speak.

I find it very irritating that there is literally no way to stop a Berserker from doing "Heavy feint into 400ms lights for any of the three directions into Heavy" but by parrying the lights. Which is cool I guess, but aren't we supposed to beat the defensive meta? Then how should I attack if he can ignore everything I do and repeat the same move over and over again? I mean, if I read that he will feint it and throw in a light, I should get it. If I do a zone optionselect and he does not feint and parry (like everyone else), I should get in damage. Many characters' offense works like this, if he thinks I will try to interrupt him, he can hit me with a heavy or parry the interrupt.

I agree that Zerk needs some help, like a feintable zone (it is quite ******** that I get a 24 damage Bulwark Counter just for blocking it), but the lights are quite cancer. Not the worst thing to fight if you have a bash though, and they are 11 damage only, so it is a quite complicated subject.

If the zerk is feinting a lot then attempt GB reads. Higher level zerk play tends to see zerks empty feinting often to gauge your response. Because they don't feint into GB often you can usually catch them either in heavy start up or in feint recovery. Additionally because his chains are so predictable it's not hard to look for and parry a heavy if he continues to let chains go. and certain heros discourage him from doing so because of what they can do on heavy parries. Like Warmonger for instance. Heros like BP and aramusha also discourage chain offense because of flip off of block or hitstun in the case of Mushu.

There's little situational things to understand about zerk as well. Like how he has to buffer his light after his zone if he wants to continue pressure. Making it an easy reaction parry. Or how you want to swap your guard to the opposite guard direction when you try to dash bash him because that makes the window so so so much tighter to actually punish your bash for him with his dodge attacks. And spacing him is also super important because it severely limits his ways to approach you. Meaning it's a lot easier to punish him. Zerk really only has back light into back dodge for safe baiting. So if you see an empty light that wouldn't reach you don't attempt to punish it.

Zerk is kind of like hito in that her design is to overwhelm anyone he fights. He actively discourages you from trying to attack and that's how he wins. If armor were to be removed in any capacity for him his kit would need to be busted open to keep that idea going. I'm talking no more restrictions to how his chains have to go. And being able to feint out of more things. I'd be willing to try it out. But I also have to admit I enjoy Zerk's current approach and don't really care to see that change.
