That is a perfectly understandable perspective, Kev.Originally Posted by DadKev Go to original post
Many variables factor into that, however. Level of commitment -- or other pseudonym -- is a major one. Take raiding, for example. Raiding requires several specialized builds for successful completion. I have four separate tank builds for Iron Horse alone; (1) Fieser, (2) Williams, (3 and 4) Morozova. Then there's skill builds; (Damage) Gray, (Status Effects / CC) Williams, (Repair / Medic) Gray / Fieser / Williams / Morozova. Finally, there's DPS (all red / weapon damage). You can quickly see how that can fill up a character. One of our senior members only raids and only has one character, but that character is full. Our clan encourages qualification in each respective specialization. This has a three-pronged advantage: (1) each raid party member is prepared to act in the absence of -- or where possible, character death of -- another, (2) each raid party member shares in the responsibilities of each individual role, and (3) familiarization with the overall concept, and growth, both as a player and person. That last development is a great thing to witness, and solidifies the effectiveness of the team.
Other fellow clan members also began with one character. Then they leveled up an additional for muling. Then they dispersed loadouts until their additional characters were fully operational, and had more free space for looting, without having to enter their inventories every few minutes.
The problem with more inventory space per character is management. I'd rather spend more time focusing on mission objectives, and less time scrolling through items, especially under fire.
Sounds familiar. This is from my third link in the OP:Originally Posted by BT3241 Go to original post
I fully expect this to be even more relevant in D2. I'm not even interested in any rewards. I just want to help some buddies out, by utilizing a provision that should have been available in December of 2019, and as yet is not.Originally Posted by V4MPiR1 Go to original post
Nobody really plays four characters they are for farming watch points what ever is on your first characters watch will be on your other characters watch - example if you first character is at 3000 and you start a second character at LV 40 he will be awarded 3000 point and so on. If you don't want to do it you don't have to - I have thousands of points.
I play my first guy and if I get everything done I might start my second character and do it all over again depends on my week.

2nd I'd rather would take stash size increase by 100 slots, instead of even 10 extra char slots.
I would qualify that statement as categorically false. I carried the practise over from D1; it's a product of the looting system. When I purchased the game in TU4, I immediately created the four characters and assigned them a separate MOS. I then dispersed weapons and gear respectively. They each now have several builds to cover a variety of situational variables, with some room for experimentation. As I mentioned previously, in raiding, this allows me to effectively fill any role our party may be lacking, simply by preselecting a character. I'm currently at an SHD level of 4800. Had exploiting SHD points been my motivation. I would have deleted one of my characters, used the complimentary WoNY L30 boost, burned through to 40, ghosted Keener, and have an instant 4800 points. Moreover, only one slot would be required for said exploitation, the rest being superfluous. This also would not explain why I had the four characters nine months before TU8, where SHD levels didn't even exist. I may be always prepared, but I'm not psychic.Originally Posted by BT3241 Go to original post![]()
I agree with OP. I deleted my hardcore character when Iron Horse came out. I have a Dark Hours character, Iron Horse, PvP, and one for regular PvE content/farming.
I can raid with any character except maybe the PvP one, but not speed runs and I can’t necessarily do any job.
No 5th character = No Hardcore character for me too.
1st This is an accepted action, for the purposes of increased initial exposure. Given that I rarely make requests, mods are especially accommodating. Make no mistake, they will move this thread pursuant to a period of one week. Had you been a contributing community member, as opposed to chronically dropping vacuous one-liners, you would be aware of this.Originally Posted by Licher.Rus Go to original post

Pal, try to stick to your own posts history, ok? And thx for your unneeded care, but I perfectly know what do I want. And perfectly know - where to post suggestions and how to not tell everyone, that you are valuable and elite member.Originally Posted by V4MPiR1 Go to original post
