Need Help pls, how beat kensei??????

I need help, like defeating kensei, I love it for honor, but I'm almost leaving the game, people only play kensei and griffin, but kensei can only be defeated by another kensei or specific character, he has high damage, good defense and any attack that I give him simply gives a side dash and resolves everything, if I defend his attacks and try to fight back with a quick attack the attack just doesn’t enter, he just gives me a side dash and hits me again and his blows do not accept my dash, only he himself has the dash to dodge attacks. I wanted to know if there is any way to play against him, because I want to use the characters I like and I'm already sick of having to get kensei ... I wanted to play with valk, but every game has one or two kensei ... griffin is the same, but i know that developers will need nerf him.

Since Kensei has a ****ton of unnecessary unheatlhy I-frames on his dodge attack, ppl like to use it since it makes them awefully safe.

What you can do is the following:

    1. Observe when your opponents usually it
    2. If they tend to use it right away as a response to your attack turn -> bait them with a heavy - feint it and parry it for a light punish -> or even better with valk go for a superior block punish or even a deflect punish.
    3. If they tend to do it while you are in your chain, do the same as point 2. Feint, stop wait and punish

You can go to training mode and setup against a kensei. Set him up to only do side dodge attacks. Get used to the timings to get your punishes in.

unfortunately this is the way with Kensei, Gryphon and others with high amounts of I-frames. We can only hope that it is going to be addressed at some point.

A kensei's side-dodge attack always hits on the opposite side of the direction he's dodging. If he goes left, block or parry right.
