Hosts, settle down before bugging out!!

I have finished all of my global event challenges and I am on call to help others while collecting stars to buy named caches. After we have completed our objectives, I open a named cache and share the item if I don't need it ( as long as I have enough stars to buy one; if not, I open a Field Proficiency cache and share the items). You will miss it if you leave immediately after completing the objective. Cool your jets a bit and you might get something nice. I make a note of the host's name and I will be near you when I share an item as long as you don't skedaddle immediately.

Also, thank you for putting out the call for help. I really like the feeling of helping people out!!

    That's too complicated.

When I find an Exotic I try to share it as fast as I can but usually the host is already 100m away. So I pick it up, run to them and share it again.
They stand there for a while then teleport away.
All the while I'm writing "wait, come here, pick this exotic up", 'till I get bored and just give up.

Yep. It's quite different in this game. You'd at least get a bow from your host in Dark Souls.

It may be complicated from T.H.U.D.D.'s perspective, but if that is what they want to do then I see no problem. I certainly understand why one would want to wait until the objectives are completed to do any reward sharing.

People do tend to bounce before the mission is over, and I don't think that should be rewarded.

For sure, the host does what the host wants. I don't begrudge them that at all. I would like to give them something as a thank you, but sometimes the game design and the the impatient nature of folks could keep them from getting something extra.

I just tried to share something from a field proficiency cache and I couldn't. I don't really know what the rules are, but the last host who requested help, I was able to open a named cache and share the contents, but my recent field proficiency cache's contents could not be shared.

I really wish we could have some GD transparency from the devs instead of having to guess everything and only resort to trial and error.

Why is EVERYTHING off-limits to us? Open the GD game up and let us have fun and assist each other!!!

If the GD suits in the boardroom removed all of the superfluous restrictions, the community would bring this game to the top of the charts,.

STOP RESTRICTING EVERYTHING IN THE HOPES OF MONETIZING EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can only share items with folks that you were with when you picked it up or awarded (field proficiency caches). You have 1 hour to share the item. Items from caches you were awarded can be shared, but purchased items cannot - including caches purchased from the global vender.

I agree about players bailing out so fast after missions. It's difficult to share stuff when everyone takes off so quickly.

I think it would be much easier when we have an option to share anything after it dropped on the floor without having to pick it up first, then go through several menu's. At least I couldn't find it, so far only seen pick up as favorite, and deconstruct (all). Maybe an extra option for sharing in that menu can speed things up, and drops can be made visible to others faster.

Unless they tell me they're looking for something, I deconstruct everything if I need materials, or just don't bother even looking at it if I don't. Sometimes I'll look at their build and if I notice one piece or two is particularly trash, I'll keep an eye out for something that would be an upgrade and drop it somewhere/sometime I know they'll see it. Then hope they use it, because there are some awful builds out there.

Ah, I see. I thought we could share if we opened the cache when we were with someone. Thank you. I still think it's too restrictive, though. We should be able to share whatever and whenever we choose. I do understand that it could facilitate transactions between players; it's just a shame that this is the result.

That's a great idea, that way we could share even if we have a full inventory.
