    Farming watch points.

After your first character reaches above 1000 points on the watch you might want to think of farming watch points - you can do this by starting a new character - you only have to play him to Lv 40 which doesn't take long and the new character will be awarded all the points your first character generated so if it was 2000 the new character would get 2000 points upon reaching Lv 40 - you never have to play these characters once the reach Lv 40 or upgrade them just use all the points for material needed - that's all my 3 extra guys do - collect watch points and you will never run out of points again if you have 4 characters. I literally have over 10000 points between my 4 guys - I only play one.

Well, that will be patched out soon. Thanks for abusing that resource and then posting about it on the internet.

    nah.... doubt it..
i was doing this like a year ago.. or whatever.. it's not new.
And it's not abusing at all... where is the abuse?.. the SHD point system is designed for infinite SHD levels.. once you max out the tree.. it's all material points basically. I think or at least hope the devs knew that when they designed it.

A player who wishes to level up their alts.. is a player who is really spending time in the game. I don't see the abuse.
Now informing the community..you could argue that.. but I doubt the devs didn't know about what they created and what was possible.

The level up a new character is not an exploit since it is a leveled up character that was boosted, and it still takes some effort from the person making the alt character, you can level up inside of a day with a lvl 30 to lvl 40 char some are doing it under an hour with a group and getting assistance from 1 or 2 level 40, and it is a good way of getting both watch points and also resources i leveled up 2 agents just to have their own crafting material not making it shared and one is focused on optimizing and others are for the weekly hand in and recalibrations, and to avoid dumping to much watch points into field research points and such make sure to see where the invaded missions are for shade optimizations points and then take control points for XP and field research points.

If you just want to level up watch level i would suggest doing open world territory control and elite patrols and resource convoys for both crafting material and xp, i tend to run it on heroic with either 2 or 4 directives to get a bit more xp, and it is a very good and fast option atm with Golden Bullet event that just increases xp gain because of the benefits of that event.

And to clarify the whole just getting to level 1000 shade level you have 200 scavenging points not 1000, you have 800 shade level points for the 4 basic groups and then the 200 for scavenging points and in each group you have 4 you put 50 points into.

So if you are at 2000 shade level you get the total of 1200 scavenging points, however it also takes time to level up the watch so it is a question of time you are willing to put into it all.
