its not just UBI, i currently have deleted Warzone from my Pc, got seriously fed up with being shot through walls!Originally Posted by chicagolongball Go to original post
now if you look at R6's anti cheat wow! I have never seen as many people get banned ever! whatever detection they are using all games need it ! plus isn't that a Ubisoft title ?
R6 is an uncommon case , its sucess provided the game with all of the best in the market in its later years , nothing of the sort could ever happen to TD2 , but R6 was in an even worst state concerning bugs and cheats in its first 2 years , it really was a case of fixing stuff by having and throwing (lots of) money at it.Originally Posted by Sn0wBaaalL Go to original post
Sorry, but I don't really see it this same way. The problem is detection. I can guarantee whatever method you devise for detection, somewhere across the million players it will false positive someone.
The name and shame policy doesn't need to go. Because video evidence can be faked and therefore cannot be the authoritative evidence.
I can guarantee also that for every real name and shame that happens targeted at an actual cheater, there are just as many -- if not more -- haccusations made against legit players that happen to understand and play the game better. "I lost, so they must be cheating".
One thing we can probably agree on, is that if anyone in these forums does know how to detect cheating and it is 100% accurate, you can patent that and spin up a company to sell it and become very, very rich.
I do agree with Tokyo..... private sessions would be a very good thing. That would allow the player base to police things themselves. You might even se some competitive gameplay spawning from it.
I think the community is smart enough to look at a video and make our own determination. If it's obvious a guy is not cheating and the player is just really good, we can clearly determine that. Wouldn't you rather have the eyes of guys with 4000+ hours determine what needs to be sent to Ubisoft and what doesn't? Community policing could help a LOT since Ubi doesn't seem to do anything otherwise. We all know the reason. It's money and their lack of wanting to spend any to fix the issues. So if Ubi wont fix it at least let us self police and identify the cheaters.Originally Posted by tcarlisle2012 Go to original post
You cannot tell me you think the current system of hide the evidence from the public, and do nothing to fix it, is somehow the right choice for the community.
agreed its wasn't amazing at the beginning, what is it now year 6 ? and the player base is huge! granted so is the microtransactions! but.............at least anti cheat is there and doing its job regardless of cost.Originally Posted by N3mB0t Go to original post
my point is the industry should be taking notes from R6's system regardless of cost and implementing them into all AAA titles.
Activision i look at you and the sad state warzone is in! that is hacker central.
Well, you got that conclusion from you, not from anything I actually said, so you are right.... I cannot and did not tell you that. LOL.Originally Posted by chicagolongball Go to original post
In my on experience, I've seen more false accusations than I've seen real incidents.
Your entire post seems to be based on the idea that this community should be empowered to be the judge. That just isn't how it is done.
But, if we were to pretend it could be that way, don't you think there is a high potential for abuse of that system?
I think community policing is about the only way cheating is going to be policed at all in Division games. Ubi clearly doesn't care, nor will they spend any money to fix the issue. What other choice do we have other than simply refusing to play PvP, which in reality is where most of us are at. Under the current conditions of the game, what is the solution?Originally Posted by tcarlisle2012 Go to original post
