enough with all the branding and promo intros in games in general. No one in the gaming community is going oh my gosh. . . write that down so we can buy that snowdrop engine. . . NO ONE CARES!!! Stop spamming your own clients. Make the games so that it shows intros only one time and after that it goes right into the game. Especially when the game crashes so dam much. I've never had a full session in this dam game. The game decides for me when I am done playing. I'm tired of it.
I actually think this every time I boot up almost. It's so annoying and there is literally ZERO reason for it to happen. LOLOriginally Posted by Sr_0v3rkill Go to original post
The folk who like that unskippable logo's are probably the same ones that think adverts for showing on a mobile should be higher than 720p. The small screen negates the need for their stupidly hi-def adverts.
At the very least a game should already be loading the menu during the myriad of plugs for engine, audio thingy, which gpu maker paid them the most or the ubi classic of being multifaith/culture dev team so we're not anti whatever it is you think we hate. Noone who actually plays games really cares about that stuff.
Some ubi games do allow a spot of spacebar mashing to skip, shame division 2 doesn't. Especially when the game needs to be restarted every 5 minutes.
At LEAST load the game while splashing logos. I'd be ok if the logos finished and you were in game.
I click the icon to launch the game and it takes a solid minute to even open the launcher. Then a couple minutes of crap before I finally spawn in. This is literally the slowest game I own. It behaves like it's on a remote USB 1.0 hard drive instead of the SSD it's on. Everything is fast enough in game but just getting to the game is a headache.
Sometimes if not most or even always, there is licensing issues when given branding logos are removed. If I develop anything in Unity for example, I must show the logo since I'm using for non-commercial purpose. It may also be there cause given branding paid to be shown like advertising.
The game is also usually loading or establishing connection to the server so it is not like there is much other good alternatives during these seconds and while these brands info may not be useful for you, probably it is for others that study or want to know more about said engines or companies.
Anyway, just pointing out some reasons of why it's there, not criticizing your opinion or anything like that![]()
