How is that even possible, UbiSoft Connect searches for updates and applies them automatically on launch.Originally Posted by Berdie_is_here Go to original post
How did he do that? Its an automatic update on launch. How do you stop it?Originally Posted by Berdie_is_here Go to original post
You probably won't like my answer - But yes, most likely Div team is the one that is going to have to sort it out.Originally Posted by OMG-ITS-RECULAS Go to original post
But if I am right about the rendering engine is the primary cause of the issue, a "proper" fix (non bandage solution ) might be a long way off.
They would have updated the Snowdrop engine used in Massive games for their new projects ( but bringing those fixes back into division won't be so easy without it breaking other things.
UConnect isn't going to roll back its update because 1 game is affected while none of the others seeming are. Unlike patching a game, patching an engine isn't as simple as downloading and applying a patch.
So the first thing Div 2 team is going to need to do is Contact the UbiConnect team to see what kind of changes they did to the launcher.
Then they need to find out what is the specific cause of the crashes, then develop a workaround solution.
While the crashes are a severe rating, it also likely isn't a priority.
While moderators and Support staff have responded to the issue - you will notice no offical statement by the Dev team has been made yet 7 hours later.
The answer is simple, he started playing before the Launcher update came out.Originally Posted by Nifol Go to original post
