🛈 Announcement
Greetings! The Division forums are now archived and accessible in read-only mode, please go to the new platform to discuss the game

Does anyone NOT have a freeze or crash problem after the update?

In an effort to rule out possible configs that do NOT have a problem, please shout out if you can play the game without any crashes or freezes for at least a decent amount of time (say, one hour or more)

If so, please post a dxdiag pastebin or describe your setup. This will help us know what works to rule out what's wrong with the rest of us.

Is it not possible for the Connect update to be rolled back? To then dismantle it and find what was causing the issue?

Well on the bright side for us, the Devs can't hide behind the line... "It works fine on my machine!", because it works for NOBODY!

I'm utterly confused, why is it our job to find the problem? We're the ones paying them hundreds upon thousands of pounds/dollars a month, and yet we can't even play? Why send out an update that can't be rolled back... Too confident.

Only Stadia users are crash free since they don't use UbiConnect

It was caused by a separate development team.
Since this is an issue with UbiConnect and not Division

Likely they tested the update on modern games like Legion and Valhalla - where you see no crashes complaints on their main forums.
They can't really test it on every game on Ubisoft store.

So whatever happened seems specific to Division 2.
I am also fairly certain the issue relates to how Overlays are handled with the rendering engine causing it to crash.

That makes sense, is there no way the original development can sort this out themselves or is this entirely up to the Division team to deal with?
