You're forgetting the MS Gold internet tax you have to pay for EVERY month, before you can even play online.Originally Posted by Sn0wBaaalL Go to original post

365 days x 10p = £36.50 which is what i pay for Xbox Live Gold.
Hardly breaking the bank
I pay £168.88 (£13.99 a month) a year for Netflix and use it way less than my Xbox![]()
Oh, that's just the start of what you lose by going to a console. Don't forget the hours you get to spend doing graphics and control tweaks instead of playing, and when you get really lucky you can set the game aside and spend your time figuring out how to unbreak things after your latest graphics driver update. Not to mention the odd bonus DLL hell thrown in. Poor people stuck with consoles with nothing to do on them but play the games! :-)Originally Posted by Sircowdog1 Go to original post
Yeah, that's the biggest thing that keeps me on PC. I just hate controllers for shooters. I've even gone so far as to try the third-party mice which emulate controllers on consoles, but they've never worked terribly well for me. And a close second is being able to remap the controls to whatever I like (particularly to make use of the extra eight buttons on my mouse), though that's arguably not as important when using a controller.Originally Posted by Sircowdog1 Go to original post
This is another advantage of PC that some forget: the software tends to be a lot cheaper if you're willing to wait for the sales. I typically pay $10-$15 for a triple-A game, and not infrequently even get them for free, especially now that Epic is doing their weekly give-aways.Originally Posted by potatoNtomatoBB Go to original post
always use my PC, the Xbox we use mainly for stream content and the odd game with the lady!Originally Posted by potatoNtomatoBB Go to original post
i seen the prices of the games on the online PSN / Xbox store! no thanks lol - we have Xbox ultimate I think? which I use on my PC as well for Gears of war.
if you look though, all platforms have there pluses and negatives.
No problems here anymore.
What seems to do the trick for me was:
- disable the Overlay facility
- check the map assigned for download and cashing for the game and change that to the correct map if neccesary (in my win10/pc they where assigned to non-excisting maps.
- Set every executable that has in some way to do with Ubisoft and/or this game to Windows 7 compatiblity mode
Still crashes here after the latest update and have been ongoing for quite some time now, I play this game a lot and had ZERO issues before the newest update, my games just close with no error code, just shuts down like so many others are reporting.
What I don't get is that so many players are affected by the constant crashes, why don't you roll back to the previous patch where the game was actually playable for 90% more players until you fix the game completely?? It's NOT fixed as you tweetet some days ago - and be MORE transparent with your playerbase that supports you, the worst you can do as a developer are the lack of communication, copy/paste answers are NOT the way forward
