6 minute crash to desktop. It's like a clockwork. I had 5 crashes in row. Eventually launched a screen capture to take a video. Same as it was before.

Time to find another franchise to get involved in.
I understand that people are still getting random crashes but I have to say that since the fix came out, with one slight wobble, things have been pretty good. I'm probably jinxing myself here but it would seem that at least in my case the problem has been fixed. I still take the precaution of unloading as much as possible before I play so it's almost the only thing running but that's not too onerous since I only play a few hours at a time at most.

Funny. 30 mins ago i logged into the game. Standing in BoO. less than 3 mins later my game completly froze Couldnt even CTRL - ALT - DELETE to shut it down. Had to relog windows to shut it down.
Fixed ? My ***.
Massive doesnt give a crap about their customers anymore. They are done with Div2. They said they had another major patch? Sure And how many bugs issues craches unplayable hours will that bring with it?
In my and many others opinions they might as well just unplug the servers and say thats it we are done. Dont even bother making a new game we suck at it, a simple bug or issue that would require the smallest of efforts toke them 3 weeks to fix. HELL. you even still see bugged materiel bags in the open world that they never fixed.. Same issues as Div 1 had. Enemies stuck in the doors not coming out for you to kill and finish the mission so you have to kill yourself or wait 5 mins for them to automaticly die.
If this is the way a developer is allowed to be. I rather wanna play DOOM 1 and see what a REAL developer does. Since 2010 developers has taken a giant dump on us who pays their bills. And we allowed it. Enought is enought. Time to stop supporting massive. They dont deserve our money.
There actually seems to be a set of a half dozen or so fairly simple things to do (switch to DX11, turn off the overlay, etc.) where one or more of these have fixed the problems for a number of people. This is one area where Ubisoft is really falling down: a good FAQ/flowchart, informed by the developers' current understanding of the various problems and their symptoms, that walked users through this stuff, and got regularly updated, would be really helpful. And weekly blog posts detailing where they are in their internal analysis of the problem would probably calm users a little bit; I've seen a lot of posts here from people who think that Ubisoft/Massive have just stopped working on it, which I doubt is true.Originally Posted by Scarberius Go to original post
From my (admittedly very limited) view of things through the support ticket system, they don't appear to be starting with the easy stuff first. For this problem my ticket response started out by asking me to disable thirteen programs started at boot, reboot, start the game and test, and then re-enable each one individually and do the same again. That's easily more than an hour of work, which put me off enough that I just said, "whatever, I won't do that thing in the game that triggered the bug anymore." Perhaps they had seen the bug before and knew that this was somehow related to it, but without being able to tell if it was that or they just picked some random thing for me to do, I certainly wasn't going to do all that work.
In other words, "Let's penalize all the folks who are enjoying the game without major problems because it doesn't work for me. "Petty" would be the nicest way to describe this.Originally Posted by Bullh4ngar Go to original post
In my experience (which includes more than two decades of professional software development on some fairly complex systems), this is almost invariably an opinion held only by those entirely ignorant of software development and the complexity of the modern world in general. For both practicality and one's sanity, the most reasonable course as a developer is probably to ignore such people even if it does, sadly, often consign them to never being able to play the game. Trying to engage helpfully with someone who's throwing a temper tantrum and more concerned about flaming developers than getting anything fixed generally is just a waste of time.Dont even bother making a new game we suck at it, a simple bug or issue that would require the smallest of efforts toke them 3 weeks to fix.
Clearly you don't get it, because though yes I can do that, that's nothing like developing a large application. It's like the difference between fixing a bicycle and designing a jet aircraft.Originally Posted by PsyaNyde.UK Go to original post
Tell you what, I do get that you have a lot of complaints and don't have any idea of the nature of the problems or how you or anybody else might even begin to solve them, so how about you stop posting your nonsense and I'll stop responding to it.
If you're going to post blatently incorrect rubbish to public forums on the Internet, you shouldn't be surprised if people respond to tell you where you're wrong.
