Just to be clear on the issue, maybe this will help to fix up the issue quicker. The issue isn't just the game crashes to desktop - that was a previous issue that happened here and there before this patch. Once this patch hit, entering the game for 1-3 mins causes first the screen to go into windowed mode (when running in full screen), then freezes and has to be end tasked to close. The game seems to be auto trying to change something within the graphics that is causing a conflict and crash. I have a few other friends playing that report that when this occurs they briefly see the character select screen, then back to where they were in the game frozen.
Hope this helps.
It's mostly for everyone...
I'll just point out a strange thing... my partner and I launched the game and 3 times out of 4 crash total, we crashed at the exact same moment.
We decided to stop playing afterward... But can't this be again this stupid anti-cheat system that is the cause of this?
Anyway, I'm sure this will be sorted shortly.
Same for me. Extremely annoyed by this because of the timing. Exactly when the Golden Bullet event went live, which is the only global event I've actually liked and have been waiting for to make a re-appearance.
Now I can't play for 5 mins without a game going from full-screen to windowed mode, freezing, having to be killed and restarted.
Switching between DX11/DX12, Global Event on or off, play in fullscreen or windowed didn't help at all.
Game running at 1080p with almost everything set to lowest quality.
Windows 10 Enterprise 64bit v1909 Build 18363.1379
AMD Ryzen 2700 (stock)
ASUS ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING
Crucial 32GB DDR4 (2 x 16GB)
MSI AMD RX 480 8GB (Driver v21.3.1)
Dual 2160p monitors (Haven't yet tried disabling one to see if somehow interferes)
Thanks for working on this. For those of us that cannot play the game at all, are we basically going to lose out of the golden bullet challenges as well as future challenges (depending on how long this takes to resolve)?Originally Posted by UbiExcellent Go to original post
