    Latency is TRASH!!!!

The latency in this game is awful to were I can't even defend my self. Lately the game doesn't seem to even register my moves this isn't a game issue though this a server issue and Ubisoft your TRASH server needs to be fixed. I do not see other player have latency problems like I am and that is ******** this isn't a game problem this is a server problem. This issue is becoming a big disadvantage for me in battles because I am have problems defending my self either bad lag or doesn't register at all. This is even a problems because I can't even do feint correctly. Any help would be appreciated and if your just going to attack and be negative take your bs somewhere else.

Well, it could be your location. It could be your hardware. It could be your internet. It could be that you use wifi instead of ethernet.

For Honor works on teeny tiny increments of time and any kind of interference can dramatically affect performance.

Where are you? (Roughly, you don't need to tell me where you live, just continent or country).

What are you playing on? (Xbox, PS, PC)

What speed is your internet? (For example, I have 1GB download speeds)

Are you using wifi or ethernet?

I only ask because the only latency issues I have myself come from other players or cross continent play.

Otherwise, I am always getting good connections.

For reference, I have 1GB internet, I am connected by ethernet, and I play on a Next Gen Xbox (Xbox Series X).

do you have port forwarding or PnP enabled in your router? this is a game changer bro. If not, check the PnP box, if your router does not have this option you need to manually do the port forwarding, there is a guide in support for that.

also you can disconnect the router like 10 min, and reconnect so useless data can be erased. Sometimes the router bloats with much data.

aditionally, you can check your ethernet cable condition, i changed mine a month ago to a CAT 6e(from a cat5) and the difference is that I can have 20-35 ping in México, before was 60 -80

I'm on PS4 in California with Xfinity direct connect ethernet @ 175MB/s download speed HDMI on a 7 year old Sony Bravia 1080p 40" TV on Game Mode. I've noticed significant input delay and missing frames depending on the lobby and even with bots on 4 v 4 playlists when the average player ping is above 60ms. I feel like inputs are literally taking about a half second to show up on my display in some cases. I'm not sure if there's a way to measure it. It also depends on the time of day where during the mid-day or afternoons they seem to be slightly better. I'm usually a night gamer since I have to work during the day, so I'm sure I'm sometimes connecting with players overseas based on usernames and player insignias. This may be adding to the considerable lag I've been seeing. I do feel your pain because it often feels like your inputs are not registering and you can't even defend against GBs or heavy attacks that you can see from a mile away, but it just goes through your parry or block. Defending against light attacks is pretty much just RNG when this happens and it's frustrating getting light spammed to death with a thousand paper cuts. I've been told the best solution is to go on offense first and forget about defense. Just roll away and disengage if you feel like you are getting light spammed where you can't block or dodge out of a matchup. Apparently, a low latency gaming monitor will also help significantly, but I haven't tried this yet. I guess I'll have to try For Honor again once I get a PS5 on a newer TV optimized for fast response gaming.

I have PnP enabled but not port forwarding but my NAT type is open so I figured it was fine. When I was console it was easier I could just enable DMZ on my router to open all port but can not do that on pc. Okay I will check out the cable as well. What about using a VPN it came up on a google search.

Well being on console and now PC the game play is a little different its a little bit smoother than how it was on console. I have a custom built with a gaming monitor that has a response time 1ms.

you can try a vpn but that maybe will make your nat red, and perhaps you will be conected to another continent.

You don´t need the port forwarding if your PnP is enabled.

I would try to restart the router and see if the ping is better after 10 minutes of being disconected.

you can play on any pc monitor with your console, it will be better than your bravia, and don´t forget to put the monitor in GAME mode if it has the option. Most are 10 ms at most. MIne is 1 ms but it is a dedicated gaming monitor, still 10 ms is a good improve over any tv.
