how to remap the Assassin's creed one controls on a Xbox one controller

I just bought the first Assassin's creed the other day off steam and I'm not use to the keyboard and mouse controls. I just want to know how remap the buttons on the Xbox one controller so I could play the game on that instead. Can someone please help?

    Hey darklonewolfen,

Have you been able to remap the buttons or do you still require assistance with this?

Hey darklonewolfen, thanks for your response!

If you've bought the game through Steam, you will be able to access controller configuration settings in Big Picture Mode, which normally is at the top right corner of your Steam launcher window.

By default, you will only be able to edit Steam Controller settings therefore for any other controllers such as Xbox One for example, you will have to enable configuration support in order to be able to tweak them.

Click on 'Settings' and then select 'Controller Configuration'. Once done, click to enable 'Xbox Configuration Support' and 'Generic Gamepad Configuration Support' in case if you are using not the original device.

Once that's done, you're likely to have to reconnect your controller (do not worry if you don't however) and then, head to 'Library' section in Big Picture Mode, select the game, then click 'Manage Game' and select 'Controller Configuration'. There you shall be able to change your settings to whatever your preference is.

Hope this helps and should you have any questions, let us know!
