Oh god please DO NOT do cross platform. PC players running high frames would beat every single console player with little to zero effort.

    Awful and thoughtless idea.

I understand wanting better MM times for PC, but this is not the answer.

Switch to Xbox. Nearly instant games every time I play.

Crossplay between PC and next-gen console shouldn't hurt. Current/last-gen would be at a disadvantage.

No. People already complain about the difference between last gen and next gen consoles with just 30fps vs 60fps.

60fps next gen console vs 120-240fps PC players?? Terrible idea. Just awful.

60fps vs 120+fps isn't so much of an issue since PC players already deal with it and there are little to no complaints about it. The difference between 30fps and 60fps is much greater than 60fps vs 120+fps since everything smooths out from 60fps while 30fps is just playable. Anything less than 30 is unplayable. Some can't tell the difference from 90fps onwards. Also, last-gen also has to deal with their inherent latency which is their greatest disadvantage.

If we're talking about the competitive scene, then a 60 frame-cap should be introduced when crossplay is considered but, apart from that and last-gen, there's no reason to rule out crossplay between PC and next-gen console. You still have to deal with those with better reactions, like on PC, and they are not guaranteed to win. They still need skill.

As with other games that have crossplay, there should be an opt-out/in toggle opton to cover both preferences.

I've played PC with over 100fps. There is absolutely a difference when you have reaction times like myself.

I won't dispute that but it's not the be-all and end-all. Not all PC players have both great set-ups and great reactions since many complain about light spam. Also, the CCU has made things more even. If next-gen console had to deal with an inherent latency, a barely playable framerate, and a lack of an opt-out option then crossplay between that and PC would be a problem.

No crossplay. Sorry. The only players who want this are PC players that want better MM times. Other than that, the only crossplay we really want is between consoles.

We have sort of already learned from call of duty how problematic things can get when pc crosses with console. Its not great.

PC should only get crosses with console if PC has a frame cap. If it doesn't, then it's not fair.

Again, if there was a toggle option for crossplay(like other games do), it shouldn't be a problem as it wouldn't be forced. It would be in the hands of the players. Many of us wanted both crossplay and cross-progression among all platforms. I don't see how it was just Xbox to PS that the players were asking for and I'm sure it's not a request isolated to PC players either. You do remember the community's disappointment when we found out cross-play wasn't on the cards? Also, crossplay would help with being matched with players more local to our regions and reduce latency.

As for frame caps, again, that should only apply to tournaments and ranked modes.

As for me, I'm after crossplay for two reasons. 1)To extend the life cycle of the game from having a larger player base. 2) For better quality matchmaking. The times are fine on my end. It's who I get matched with is the problem. The skill and rep brackets are not strict enough. They're too wide. This rep 800 has to deal with too many rookies for his liking.

One thing to consider is Testing Grounds or test servers. That would remove any speculation on how cross-play and cross-progression would pan out. However, I do predict that the only platform that would actually come off worse is last-gen console, again, due to the combination of a barely playable framerate and the inherent latency.
