I guess he just loves the warden that much. And a lot of warden fans believe that the rework is missing some fixes and features that is should have included, but yeah; one must always be careful not to imbalance a hero during a rework. Nobody wants another originally released centurion, hitokir's heby on red and the still broken feats of warmongerOriginally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post![]()
Fair enough. I also want more for PK, even though she is honestly not that bad now (well, at least until people with healing feats come into play). Warden needs a bit more, like the stamina cost.Originally Posted by Justicator Go to original post
They have hyper armor though. That makes up for not having an undodgable attack as they are able to take a hit by ballarina dancers and TRADE back with a hyper armored heavy. Warden does not have hyper armor to do any trading with them, which is why I'm saying he needs an undodgable attack and his zone would be perfect for it (it simply feels smooth and chains really well except for the stamina cost) give him a try against a Tiandi or a JJ and see how the zone feels now for yourself vs pre rework.Originally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post
Warden has hyperarmor though, on the fully charged shoulderbash. It is just as likely to succesfully trade as any other.Originally Posted by Lord.Warden. Go to original post
Or just let tiandi's dance around expending stam and wait for a parry? LolOriginally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post
Or guardbreak the startup.Originally Posted by MrBdur Go to original post
This does not work against a Tiandi's dance. The fully charged bash will be dodged easily and you will get hit.Originally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post
Check the first 20 seconds of this video from another Warden main who is a famous youtuber and a grandmaster to understand the frustration of fighting Ballarina dancers without an undodgable attack or hyper armor on heavies:
Yep, it will be dodged. Like anything that is not undodgable, I don't understand why do you think Warmonger's heavy finisher does anything against a Tiandi.Originally Posted by Lord.Warden. Go to original post
Also, it means nothing. Every player has preferences, sometimes people deviate from their main in order to prepare for something specific. For example, if I would know I am facing a Tiandi and I really had to beat him, I would choose Conqueror instead of my Black Prior or Peacekeeper. Does that mean Black Prior is weak?
A 500ms zone doesn't need the undodgeble status effect. Warlord's is slower and doesn't chain.
Warmonger has an actual undodgable attack WHICH IS FEINTABLE that she can throw out on reaction to Tiandi's dance. Her hyper armor on heavy finishers is only a bonus not the solution to the dance.Originally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post
Black prior has an undodgable attack as well and a flip move to counter Tiandi completely.
Anyway, so I reported that same exact issue of the stamina cost on the Official Bug Reporter: https://forhonor.ubisoft.com/bugreporter/en-us/ and here's the official response I received from Ubi. If this isn't incompetence, I don't know what is.

Also, the Tiandi can easily forward dodge into a light to counter it. That move is not great at all in 1v1.
Ttiandi is easy to understand tbh. His dodge lights are like Orochi's, they are fast, undodgable and are defensive moves, but are risky. The dragon dodge is like a side dodge shoulderbash, it won't beat a guardbreak attempt, only the different charge levels. So, it is not a good defensive move. When they are already doing it, it is part of their offense, that way you of course have to wait for them to finish it (which is not that hard, they can't really do much from it).
