Idea for solving issues with people intentionally trying to abuse characters

We all know that there’s practically a war with the entire For Honor community on the topic of people light spamming, not trying to use characters how they’re meant to be used, etc. Ubisoft are trying to be fair to both sides of the community when it comes to this topic which causes there to never really be a solution for this issue.

The idea that I’ve come up with so that it’s mostly reasonable and fair is to make an option to vote someone’s character to get temporarily locked in a game. If someone keeps getting their character locked that’ll either force them to either start playing a different character or to stop abusing the character. It should only lock the character for 30-60 minutes or several matches.

Let me know what y’all think about this solution idea.

    People would abuse the voting

Skreyiler, a way to solve that issue is to put a cool down on the people who voted to lock the character from the player from locking anyone else’s characters and the player who got a character locked would have a cool down on when they can get a character locked from them as well.

If people spam you and your team with the same attack over and over, then it might be a good idea to think about improving yourself instead of coming up with useless features.

    Just a idea.

(Like the only exception is maybe Warlord running charge that’s it)

Gaser, I’m not just talking about spamming lights. I’m also talking about certain game/character mechanics just being abused. Things like Warlord/Raider/Lawbringers doing nothing other than charge so they can kill you and they just run away if they can’t do it, shugoki’s grouping up on you and only doing back breakers, etc. If someone isn’t going to actually try and play a character or use them as they’re meant to be used they shouldn’t be allowed to use the character in the first place because they just make the character(s) and the game itself look bad which is why For Honor is slowly dying.

Lol the shug thing is his out of lock pressure.

From the charge moves only warlords is major problem do tho super armor.

In the end this community shouldnt get this feature because most people dont even seem to know how most heroes work and will just use it for salt purpose.

They can just nerf these moves not making ****ty feature that the community will abuse for there salty ego problems.

Also slowly dieing, dude we are still sitting on the same numbers since years now, around 3 k up to 5 k.

For a fighting game this is alive as hell.

Well another solution would be that if a group of players win the vote to lock a character from you it’d send you a warning suggesting that you should try to changing up how you’re player(1st strike warning), then if it happens again with another group of players then it’d send you a warning of the consequences if it happens again(2nd strike warning), then if it happens again the game locks your characters and says why it has been locked from you(3rd and final strike) and you either have to wait a certain amount of time before you can play as that character again or you have to recruit the character again(after a timer runs out).

And to make this fair you can’t have no more than 2 characters locked from you at a time.

I tell you again they can just nerf problematic moves.

Not add a ****ty feature that will be abused by salty idiots no matter how much restriction you add to it.

A good part of the community blames everything on something else so they don’t have to deal with the fact that they made the mistakes or just plain and simple are bad.

It’s the same reason why I say Ubi should not do open surveys and instead just ask comp teams and high rank.

Because a lot of people are idiots.

This is an incredibly thoughtless idea.

    Hard no.

How about instead of this, just each team gets one vote to ban a character from the other team? This shouldn't be in casual play though. I think having single pick might be a healthier choice overall except for people who'd instantly quit if they don't get to choose/pick their favorite characters.
