Do you guys think this sounds too op:
What if you could hold LB's bash similar to Warmonger's. The level 1 bash guarantees a light like normal with no hyper armor, and the level 2 bash would have hyper armor like Warmonger or Warden and guarantees a heavy, then you can chain that attack to his unblockable. Maybe you can feint it as well?
Does that sound too crazy to you guys because to me it doesnt. LB is suffering really bad since his nerf and I think adding something like a variable timed/feintable bash would help him a lot without making him too op like before.
Yes, it would be extremely broken. WM and Warden can be guardbroken after missing a level 1 bash, and they don't have as much hp, nor do they deal 28 damage with a blind on most parries. He needs buffs, but he needs nerfs as well.Originally Posted by TrondurIGotu Go to original post
Also, less than a year ago, he was the unquestionable top 1 duelist. He can wait a bit longer.
I really would like see Lawbringer getting some buffs, but I agree with Goat_of_Vermund, your suggestion would make Lawbringer quite unbalanced. He doesn't need a chargeable bash IMO, instead the devs should address his actual problems and shortcomings. Speed up Shove to 500 ms to improve LB's neutral offence, replace his attack chains/patterns with new ones to make his quite bad chain pressure better and finally add some HA here and there to make him more viable and dynamic in every fight situation.

I was a bit disappointed when I saw that LB won't get an update in Y5S1 despite the fact that a lot of people are actually would like to see him reworked. And tbh he kinda needs it.
BUT we will get 7 reworks/hero updates in Y5S1 (which is just the beginning of this year) and I'm pretty happy about that. And there are some heroes in there who are in a need of an update more than LB. I hope we will get an LB update this year.
When a hero is the unquestionable #1 and then they decide to nerf, it's likely going to wait for more work.
Look at Hitokiri. Only now announced to be getting future tweaks. Look at PK. Took forever to fix her. Raider will likely never get more changes. LB is on the backburner. Hell. LOOK AT SHINOBI. My god.
Shinobi was never #1 but the hero was crazy strong for a while. The rest were all at the top once and for BS reasons, so they nerfed em.
Sounds quite broken, that stamina drain, I honestly did not know that. I don't remember the last time I have seen it landing in pvp, it is not unlike Longarm or Hitokiri's "please break my leg."Originally Posted by FoxyVi Go to original post
Well for a character who literally can't do anything against a someone who is somewhat using their brain, I just don't think its fair to nerf him into the ground like they did. Only then to release a hero based on who LB is SUPPOSE to be who is 1000x stronger than the entire cast. LB literally just needs SOMETHING to help him. Hyper armor on heavies, a better light chain, better recoveries...literally anything will help him. He is such a cool hero to me, but I never want to play him because its painful.
Tt was less than a year ago that he was literally the most broken bs in the game (hyperarmor shove, 45 damage on any parry, up to 40 hp health lead from default, 400ms light opener). He is still viable, just doesn't hand you an advantage instantly. There are others far more in need of help, for a far longer time, and he still punishes normal attacks too hard. He should be reworked of course, but in that case, some of the remaining broken things must go as well (like how literally any parry gives a heavy attack on the ranked map).Originally Posted by TrondurIGotu Go to original post
Well, on paper LB is a "counter attacker", however he doesn't have access to the Superior Block property at all. Superior Blocks are the definition of counter attacking --> stopping your enemies offense while preforming a guaranteed attack and starting your own offense. Mind you, I'm not saying that LB should have access to the Superior Block property, I'm saying that because he doesn't have it the only thing what validates his "counter attacker" role is his good parry punishes. That's why I think that he should have somewhat higher parry punisher than average.Tt was less than a year ago that he was literally the most broken bs in the game (hyperarmor shove, 45 damage on any parry, up to 40 hp health lead from default, 400ms light opener). A good solution about Impale would be to only guarantee it after a Light Parry. So, on a Light Parry the player would have a choice (based on the environment/circumstances): do the guaranteed top unblockable and Quick Justice Finisher for 30 damage (or Shove after the unblockable) or do the Impale into a wall for a guaranteed top heavy which deals 25 damage and stuns and lets you continue your chain. The guaranteed damage is quite even for both options and it is also acceptable for a Light Parry. But then IMO LB should get something for compensation.
