In the initial press release they stated that FC6 will have the largest map in a FC game yet. I do hope they don't go overboard with it. The AC series and their new Ghost Recon games have proven that there is in fact such a thing as too big of a map with having large regions that are completely useless and devoid of meaningful content.
We ve already seen the map on the collector's edition. It even has a few indications on it if i recall correctly.Originally Posted by HorTyS Go to original post
Like i said a few times before here, best map to me was the one of Primal. Even the small areas had their own biome and wildlife. FC3's south island was not that interesting, FC4's North Kyrat was okay and i personnaly did not like at all Faith's region in 5. I m just hoping they keep the Primal way of doing by putting the farmlands, the jungle, the mangrove, the city and the rest in distinct areas and not make each place a mix of all.
Such map can be even in Far Cry Online.......something like GTA 5 Online.Originally Posted by Ma_Doctor049 Go to original post
Only in this case, I'm afraid, we will not see Far Cry 7 for a long time.
By the way, if developers decide to continue the setting and story in DLC or something else...
No need to go too far.
Something like rebellion in Escambray mountains can be there.
When after dictator removal, his former soldiers united with landlords, feeling offended by the new government + ex-guerrillas, not sharing the views of the new government.
To get rid of dictator is one thing - but what to do next?
And here, views can differ greately.
Having defeated the external enemy....you need to defeat now more dangerous enemy - The Enemy Within.
In Cuba case it was people who didn't want socialism.
Acting in the middle of the country, they probably wanted to split the country in two parts.
Six long years they were terrorizing the country.
Those bandits killed a lot of people there.
In Yara case it can be something else.
With dictator removal struggle doesn't end.
Sometimes it only begins.
I think something like this can be a part of DLC or Online.
Personally I liked Faith's region geography wise as it most resembles the part of Montana that I hail from myself. Jacob's region is the one I didn't particularly care for. I'm hopeful that while FC6 is said to contain a significant urban area, that it does not come at the expense of a varied rural portion.Originally Posted by WildCassowary Go to original post
