I have noticed that whenever I use the wings to glide anywhere there will almost always be a momentary stutter seconds after beginning to glide. I use RTSS to monitor frame rate and the stutter is not a frame drop but a momentary frame pacing drop. This is really a niggle as the game is otherwise perfect. Well done.
I have a 3090 and a 7700k at 4.8 ghz. I play the game at 4k 60 fps with all settings maxed. I have turned all settings down to their lowest and the stutter still remains. The stutter occurs seconds after taking flight and I'm sure this only started happening after the first patch. I thought perhaps the stutter is due to the game streaming in assets etc however this doesn't occur when racing across the land on a mount at high speeds. The stutter is tied to the wings and it's the frame pacing that takes a hit and not the frame rate it's self which stays at 60 fps. I would take a video but i'm not entirely sure how. I have tested the game on another PC and the issue remains.
I have same issue I tested it in various configs including very low settings but whenever I hit crouch, I get a frame time spike and stutter. It only seems to happen when hitting the key to crouch from standing, going the other way from crouching to standing has not such stutter.
also hitting crouch over and over tanks the framerate even further
I wonder if its tied to the fact that the characters movement slows when going into crouch?
Hey @MoltenBramley!
Can you send copies of your DXDiag and MSInfo files to us on either Facebook, Twitter, or on our support site
Can you also provide video footage of this occurring
Fenyx always ran incredibly smooth for me (RTX3080, 3440x1440) but since the newest patch, I get a very noticeable stutter about every 5mins, for about half a second the whole game just pauzes and then resumes. Audio does not stop when this happens. Never had this with the previous version, but had to disable rumble to get audio to function. Now audio is fine, rumble is too, but I get this stuttering
Any way to go back to previous version?
Fwiw, I just tried playing again (have over 30hrs in-game now) and sometimes they appear shortly after each other, sometimes I can play for several mins without any issue. I guess it has something to do with streaming in new assets. Like I said, never had the issue. Running from a M.2 SSD with 32gb ram. Also verified the files, rebooted, reinstalled drivers etc... Issue definitely appeared right after updating to the new version.
