The DZ can be a fun time to dabble in, however, what would really milk the spot is adding random events into the DZ, getting agents more involved within the DZ.
Events similar to DZ drops,
- Hostage Extraction
- Rogue Agent(s) Event
- Contaminated Equipment
- Territory control
Hostage Extraction
Similar to the Rescue Operation in the game world, every X minutes appears in the DZ, guarded by enemies. SHD agents must extract the hostage at any 3 of the extractions and any rogues agents try to prevent SHD agents from doing so. Only a single agent within a group can command the hostage to follow them. Fellow SHD agents who help extract will gain XP and rewards. Rogue agents who kill the hostage receive rewards.
Rogue Agent(s) Event
Similar to the AI rogue agents who randomly appear in the game world, every X minutes a group of AI rogues would appear randomly in the DZ. The event would last X minutes or until the rogues have been killed. Agents can go rogue to protect them during the event, or remain SHD and hunt them down.
Contaminated Equipment
A drop would be delivered into the DZ every X minutes. Instead of the drop being contaminated gear, it would be an antiviral that must be extracted by SHD agents. Event ends after X minutes or if SHD agents extract the equipment.
Territory Control
Similar to territory control in the game world, every X minutes an area will become contested and SHD agents must secure and hold for X minutes. (Similar to King of the Hill) SHD agents gain experience for controlling the area, rogue agents gain experience for preventing SHD agents from securing the area.
The DZ has a lot of potential for PvP growth and expansion. With new content on the horizon, it would be very cool to see some additions to the DZs.

Sorry but your ideas don't work because they are too cooperative. All players to stay in SHD or become a rogue to complete the mission. I agree that we need to energize the DZ to try to have mobile battles.
We need to review the manhunt system and improve the rewards. Instead of deactivating the manhunt on the points of interest, it would be necessary rather that the rascals activate a beacon and that they obtain as objective of the protection during a fixed time.
You're the idea to work if the teams were fixed and fixed before the start of the game, this is not the case in the DarkZone.
The objectives must revolve around the manhunt or around an objective rewarding only a group of 4 players but in no case all the players present nearby otherwise cooperation takes the upper hand to the detriment of the confrontation.
Respectively disagree. Don't see how these events would require fixed team. The ambiguity between SHD groups is what would make the events interesting, not knowing if they'll turn rogue or not. There's not fixed teams for DZ event drops, don't see how fixed teams would need to be translated into other DZ events.Originally Posted by sheep_ssheep Go to original post
Similar to DZ drops, any SHD agents within proximity receives XP and rewards while agents who turn rogue claim the rewards for themselves. Also, like DZ drop events, there would be a timer expiration for the events, like how DZ drops have a 10 minute timer. Further more, like both manhunts and DZ drops, agents can also choose to not participate in the events at all.
What makes airdrops interesting is the fact that only the group that opens the chest wins the item. To prevent people from being cooperative, the reward must be limited to a group and not to all the other players, otherwise cooperation will take precedence over the confrontation.Originally Posted by RaciaIAdhesive- Go to original post
I liked the contaminated subways in Div 1. They could do something similar where the entire DZ becomes contaminated. You have to find a stash with a mask to survive the ever growing toxic environment. But that mask only lasts a couple of minutes and you'd need to hunt down another. The goal is to find the source of the contamination and shut it off but those are guarded by heavily armed hostiles and rogue agents looking to steal your stuff.
Virus is dead. You can find a comm, that tells you about that fact.Originally Posted by Slaytanic77624 Go to original post
Although, there could be something, like a DC-62 accident coz of factions, or something tied to each faction (like, BT starts a full out assault on the DZ, Outcasts spreading virus, True suns gather DC-62 resourses). Something like that.
Yeah i didn't say virus. There are areas in the game that still has contamination leaking that takes away your health. DC-62 toxins sure. Whatever it is, it would be a good wrinkle for the DZ since drops don't happen in the uninvaded DZ anymore.Originally Posted by As1r0nimo Go to original post
