    Wishlist for improving map usability

Seeing as there are going to be development resources working on new content, can we get some improvements to the world map?

    Always highlight Erewhon

As someone new to the game, I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to find erewhon. Giving it a uniquely colored icon, would make this a lot easier for people who aren't familiar with the map.

    Add filters

As I've been playing co-op, there are a ton of active main, side & faction missions markers on the map, with no easy way to differentiate between them. It would be helpful if the following filter views were available:

    1) Currently pinned objectives
Only display markers related to the currently pinned objectives. This would make it easier to find where players need to head next.

    2) Active objectives of type X
Being able to only view markers of particular types (e.g. partly complete missions, blueprints, faction missions, landmarks with unclaimed unique loot/collectibles) would be a nice QoL improvement.

In both cases, known bivouacs should also be shown so players can see where the nearest fast travel point is. No other icons should be visible - e.g. undiscovered or discovered landmarks, unrelated objectives.

The default view should remain as it is now for people who've got used to it, or want the fantasy of having to read the whole map.

    Thoughts?

I agree with all of this, especially the point about Erewhon. I wasted so much time as a new player trying to find it on the map. I think it was finally around the 80ish hour mark that i could find it easily. Not sure why it is not marked better, or in a bolder color.

I would also like to see filters added. Sometimes, most times rather, there are just too many icons on the map and it becomes convoluted, and overwhelming.

It would also be nice to have discovered bivouacs in a better color, to make them stand out. Great suggestions by dagrommit.

And for the love of all things good in this world, Ubisoft, please fix the waypoint markers not appearing on the map. You mark a location, but you and your friends can't see the waypoint. It's only visible on the minimap and main game screen.

I totally agree with dagrommit too. When you zoom the map out, you should be able to see Erewhon, all unlocked bivouacs, your teammates current locations and any waypoints set by your team. This would make navigating the map much easier.

My wish list apart from various cosmetic stuff and gunsmith updates is actually pretty simple:

Stop crossovers, make the year 2 to be progressive, make it so that we move on with the main story arc, with homesteaders and outcast, we need to actually reduce sentinel control and we need throughout the new events/dlc to be able to overcome the drone swarm problem and call in the us warship to support us.. and the arc needs to end with Nomad Midas and Holt finally getting on that warship and leaving this god forsaken island

On the final scene just after they arrive back on ship and are just about to relax after the de-brief, Mitchell should come and tell them they’re spinning up again and then show a teaser trailer for the next instalment of the frnachise

Just to be clear, this thread was started to highlight a QoL change that wouldn't require a lot of development effort. The suggestions to modify the map wouldn't affect the rest of the game, and would improve the experience for people new to it.

Changes you're talking about are much bigger in scope, and it might be better to start a separate thread to gather attention and gauge support for them.

To be fair I think adding an immersive mode was far more difficult than making events related to ghosts and finishing the story arc.. but I also made a separate thread as well

Just noticed that Erewhon has a larger icon now, and like the bivouacs, has a pulsing animation. Thanks
