This might be viewed as a shameless plug....but the Youtuber "GameyDaddy" actually has some fairly decent breakdowns and comparisons of Massive's behavior in regards to content releases of Division 1 vs what's going on right now in Division 2.

Personally I think he's overly optimistic, but he does have some good points to consider. One of which is the radio-silence before dropping the announcement of Division 2 being similar to what's going on right now.

Well...gear doesn't really have "score" anymore at level 40. It's just...level 40 gear.

I guess they could go back to using a gearscore system, but that would fall under the same sort of "I don't want it" reset of progression that people have been complaining about.

They'd be better off adding some sort of side-progression, like new talents, legendary weapon and armor mods, or some kind of mastery system where the more you use a piece of gear, the better it gets. Or maybe just new tabs to the SHD watch.

I'm still playing at least casually, but mostly for giggles between other games atm. I kinda like events like the seasons because they at least give me specific goals to shoot for and a reason to log in.

Two sides to that issue. Of course veteran players with high SHD and many God rolled builds don't want a reset of progression. They want to stay powerful and roll over all the newbies. A new level or gear score would even the playing field, at least for a while.

Personally I am not new or a vet with maxed out everything. I would like things to stay relatively where they are. But I'm sure many new players that may be intrigued by a new expansion or update would prefer not to play the impossible catch up game.

That was never going to happen anyway, no one said we were getting that, all we got was a Fake list a wish list from someone who decided to make his/her thoughts public on what they would like. It was never an official statement by anyone connected to UBI/Massive and this game, but stupid people fell into the hype and believed it.

WONY sized nah, rehashed globas/leagues and vanity events (they count as content) and judging by the Franchise that's all we'll probably get.

I hope i'm wrong but we'll wait and see.
