Because it sounds good to the investors that they aren't just abandoning the game.

"New" content could technically be just more seasons with a single new event in the season. Or it could be something completely unheard of.

But judging by what we've seen over the past 4 seasons....I don't really see that there's any evidence to support or hint at something significant.

Technically and quite realistically they could add some new clothing/vanity items (paid or non paid) and call it new content.

Content is such a wide ranging addition and with investors/share holders and business/suits at the helm they really could just add micro-transactions and call it new content (it's not un-heard of)

So we'll just have to wait and see what comes or what is hinted at.

PS: this community and gamers in general just have to be a bit more realistic with things like this because these games are in the hands of money men not gamers/developers.

The publishers hold the reigns/purse strings if there is a hint of making a profit with minimal outlay or work, then they'll do it no matter what us gamers/players think or want.

LOL, I was going to predict that people celebrating this would be the first to complain about the new content within weeks of it being released. I guess I should have expected the griping to start before it's even been announced

Vastly more people read reddit than the forums. Most people here only came to "complain to the manager". It's the same for every official game forum.

Dag is right that this forum is secondary compared to just about any other forum that discusses TD but its still just dumb they dont post stuff in this forum. How hard is it to copy and paste a statement to multiple forums, it would take literally an extra 10 seconds but thats too much to ask from this team evidently.

Ya I get that. I won't be surprised if it's another season with some new cosmetics, maybe a new exotic and gear. I have been away from the game till recently, but I got the impression it would be between something like the summit and a whole new expansion with a new map. And new seasons and all the goodies to go with

In other words the exact same scenario as the First game.

They announced on their anniversary for the first game there will be no more content coming, which ironically set everyone off the same as now with the announcement of no more content coming after TU12.1.

It was only then with the outcry back then, did they suddenly give us months later West Side Piers and Resistance. No campaign expansion no level increase.

So the Same applies to this game.


If people were expecting a level increase and campaign expansion then they are sorely mistaken, they never did it with the first game in the exact same scenario we have now.

PS: This is an important lesson

Never listen to hype/never believe leaks (unless from the horses mouth) and never assume you'll get what you want.
