    The toy shelf

I joined a clan recently which meant I was going between the clan hq and White House proper down the corridor and noticed a few bits and pieces sitting on the white shelving under the windows that are opposite the raid clan pictures hanging on the wall.

There’s a t.Rex from stronghold, a sheriff and a dog, a nutcracker soldier. Any idea why they are there and in the interest of collecting random things in this game, can I add more?

There are a lot more. Some seem to be story mission related, others are backpack trophies.

Huh. I had no idea. I will have to check out the windowsills and shelves at the White House. I wonder if they are display trophies like the exotics on the wall in the shooting range?

I had taken some pics in game but Grace_McClain covered the few that I saw in my game. I was wondering if they are related to commendations? I had noticed the artefacts that appear, so I searched the west wing and upstairs I don’t think I have as many of these items as Grace or as many as I do backpack trophies which were a fun pursuit compared to hunter masks. If I find a way of them appearing I will share. Thanks for the responses though.

Those are the toys that Manny uses to mark his map: he's the QB, you are the sheriff, the dwarf knight Kelso, etc... I have not noticed them in the WH, but I take it they appear as you complete missions; a few of the appear as backpack trophies after you finish certain missions.

Some of them also appear to relate directly to places the player visits in the game. For instance, there is a witch on a broomstick who appears to be a prominent ride on Coney Island:

I was hoping to fill up the shelves ha, random thing to want in a rpg shooter but massive has a crazy attention to detail. I am about 300 hours td2, started on private beta td1. I only just noticed where the witch was in the White House after Grace_McClain first reply. I shot an apple yesterday and it broke apart and was moulding in the middle. Little things like that make me laugh at what they have achieved. I get that there are bugs and a few annoying things that happen to others and I am sorry for those who don’t see the fun here but for me, this game has been a treat.
And had I not joined a clan I might not have noticed this at all. I saw the PFBR in the end room but never went looking for the characters off the map that Manny Ortega uses as an artefact left in the White House. I wonder what will still be missed when this game comes to its final act. I only crafted the chatterbox yesterday so I am probably missing some of the details a lot of others have known for years. Thanks for your replies.

Well, yes; that's what I said.
