The ability to combo out of a dodge attack ain’t broken it’s only broken when the dodge is to strong on its own. (It’s the same as Kensei in that it needs drastically reduced I frames.)
Gryphon has easier access to high damage when compared to most other heroes, I don't think that can be debated. Like, when you look at typical player habits and the options available to other heroes, Gryphon does stand out as someone who needs to do less to get as much or more. Frame advantage makes his offense very oppressive, he has more ways to start offense than most heroes, and he has more ways to vary his chains. Because of the variety it's also difficult to get a "return to neutral" result from responding to his offense. You either get it right and counter him, or you get it wrong and receive a lot of damage, and the odds are usually in his favour because he has more ways to attack you than you have to counter him.
I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for a nerf even if that's not the right solution.
From what I recall, his bash from neutral puts him one option in front of most, specifically in the way that it is not a counter-attack. For example, Lawbringer's shove is only viable as a counter-attack from neutral.Originally Posted by Azulra_1 Go to original post

Gryphons main issue is that his stamina consumption needs to be higher for his kick. He suffers from seeming OP for the same reason the Centurion was really broken for those first 2 years. These maps are actually not open... fighting players takes place in spaces with 4 people most of the time in a confined room or hallway or access point. He boxes you in to easily and can spam after he has you in the box.
As Aramusha my full block can disrupt him, and I can counter kick him back away, but even then, it because an issue of dealing with that double tap into kick on the counter on his side to reset the fight into the corner... so, this hero, much like pretty much all heroes, is that they need their stamina consumption turned up, so that a player has to utilize his resources more.
This could also be done by making him lose more stamina for being blocked or being parried, Force the player to think before spamming.
I will say that he is annoying though. I actually have played very little PVP this season due to him being released.
I LOVE the hero.
But there are so many of them in matches that it really is game breaking and annoying to put up with. So I am waiting for them to do something about him.
He is broken. What’s wrong is a guaranteed light AND an undodgeable light after which for most people is unreactable. Also his bashes and kicks barely take stamina so they can spam it the whole fight.
