I'm talking about the raid content, yes again, but I'm not asking to make raid content generic loot, many players have never had the possibility to obtain it, me too, I did Dark Hours just once on normal mode with a group on discord and the organization was a mess, signing up for it one week before, players missing at the agreed time, 30 minutes delay to start... and I didn't obtain any new gear or weapon, and the idea to lose all this time again, not the time to do the raid, but to organize and join it makes me give up to do it again.
Ubisoft you can easily open this content to all the players that always wanted to obtain this loot but couldn't access it, for a reason or another, just following one of this addition:
- matchmaking on raid normal mode
- raid exclusive loot also on discovery mode (maybe with lower spawn probability, or more keys to open the chests..)
It would be useless. Have you ever tried MM in discovery? Half the people leave before the first wave of enemies is even finished.
MM on Normal would be even worse.
This game is played pretty much without any communication between players, the raids are completely different beasts that only organized groups can tackle, and there are very few of those.
In the end MM would mean nothing or make things even worse, because this part of the game is not like the rest.
Could be true at the beginning, for some weeks when the new raid players try it for the first times, but then things will be different.Originally Posted by desrocchi Go to original post
I did all the legendaries many times with others matchmaking players, when it was a new content, it was almost impossible to clean even the first room, but sooner or later all the players understood the mechanic behind any enemy waves and the tactic for every room and now, also without any communication (microphone can be turned on also in matchmaking groups), most players knows what to do to complete the mission.
I highly doubt that.Originally Posted by antungnorri89 Go to original post
a) Because the normal raids needs (!) communication. It's mandatory to actually speak to each other to be able to complete the mechanics. That's why the mechanics for which communication is required are either changed or left out for the discovery raids. And although communication would still help to be able to complete the discovery raids not even one percent of players in those discovery raids does actually speak. And I would not expect that number to go up a lot even with mandatory voice chat.
b) We also often MM for the discovery raids just for fun and to help people out a bit. And although both raids are now available for a looooooong time a lot of people still don't now s**t about the boss encounters. They have no idea what to do and often even kind of sabotage the team by doing things blatantly wrong (e. g. shooting Morozova to early). And we're not talking about new or unexperienced players at WT5 or with a low SHD level. No one even bothers to watch one of those hundreds of raid guides on YouTube. I just don't see why things should magically be different for the normal raids...
c) While trying to explain some of the easier mechanics during the discovery raids we also sometimes use the ingame voice chat and text chat. We regularly get no responses to neither of both. Some people at least seem to read or listen (and understand) and do what they're being suggested. And a very small number "answers" after an encounter with performing an emote... But most players just ignore you. If I would have to make a guess... I'd say because they don't want to be told how and what to play. They want to do whatever the funk they want to. You'll probably end up with 8 kill-graving Memento/shield/DPS-builds and rather useless drone/turret-skillbuilds in every raid-MM-session. Because that's what you already see nowadays when playing with randoms. And a rather huge number will always run ahead, aggro all enemies, give a flying funk about the teammates and try to get as much kills as possible.
Yes, they don't want to play the raids, they're being funneled in there by exclusive gear.Originally Posted by Noxious81 Go to original post
I don't blame them for not wanting to engage in a playmode they don't like, and that has NOTHING to do with the rest of the game, just because the devs decided that was a fun idea.
Mh. Yes and no. Yes because they indeed for some reason have such a crush on the three only weapons which they cannot have from other activities in the game that they personally feel that they "have to" play this game mode. But this "yes" is at least in my opinion only a toned down one, because those weapons all are not best-in-slot. They are not necessary for any difficulty or activity or mode inside the game. So it's purely one's own choice to pursue those weapons. They willingly chose to do so. They're not being forced into playing the raids by the devs but rather by their own obsession. By their false and exaggerated expectations that they need to have those weapons in order to feel complete and happy.Originally Posted by desrocchi Go to original post
And by the way:
Some DZ-exclusive items like The Sacrific, the Deathgrips, the Emperor's Guard or The Hollow Man or even the Black Friday or The Apartment are more useful items than an EB or a Ravenous. But since I absolutely despise the DZ, I can't farm these items in an efficient and targeted way. But I don't complain about it all the time, because I know that I don't need these items that bad. I get along fine without them. And since I don't enjoy the DZ, I just don't go in. Problem solved.
And I say "No!" because you run into this type of players all the time, no matter whether we're talking about raids or queuing for heroic missions, legendary strongholds or Summit floors. They push into new rooms and areas without the whole team present, they aggro enemies too early so that the rest of the team cannot advance safely, they block LoS with their shields standing in open doors while trying to get all the kills, they trigger countdowns before everyone had a chance to loot stuff and ready up etc. etc. etc.
This kind of behavior is totally not bound to some players within the discovery raids – it's about not being able to play in a team or to have a look at what others are doing. Because they want to play the game the way they want to. No matter what. Which is ok while playing solo. But I will not applaud to some selfish ****** on ego trips ruining everyone else's coop multiplayer experience.
While I play I am on Discord with my friends, we may even all be playing different games while chatting.
I don't want to go in another channel to find people I don't know, after watching and rewatching YT videos on how to complete the raids, only because the devs decided that game mode was so popular that it needed coercion to be played.
Not being BiS does not justify it being inaccessible for people who do not want to have to group up with strangers, nor study boss fights for a gamemode they will stop playing as soon as they get what was otherwise inaccessible to them (just like I stopped playing Legendary the moment Bighorn finally dropped).
I keep reading of how Scorpio is a second rate choice for HF builds, but I actually like playing with it even it may not be the best.
Your point on DZ exclusives I absolutely agree with, DZs should not have exclusive gear, just as much as LZs should not have exclusive gear.
Exclusivity should come only in the form of aesthetics, not in the form of actual gear. If someone likes playing PvP over playing missions, why would they have to partecipate in a part of the game they find boring just to get what others can get doing what they like?
i have post officical discord website too many time, didnt' want to post for any one who are asking for grouping on raid, google, and search it in discord, u will find many ppl in there LFG raid, daily, it is daily

however as i comment, i like the idea for having a matchmaking on normal raid, i really support this idea
