Bought it on sale on 30th Nov 2020 last year for £15
I can safely say out of any game I really got my money's worth.
After 26 days of play have fully optimised loadouts of pure red, pure yellow, status and tank builds. Also just reached over SHD 1000
I have to say this is seriously an addictive game in the inventory fine tuning side of things over the actual mission gameplay itself.
Then I realised I am getting carried away with it all and once forgot to feed my cat for a day.
So yea thanks to Massive Entertainment I think I've lost alot of sleep!

I've only put about 425 hours in over the last year or so (mostly because I got stuck in NYC, and got into a mental funk about it), and I'm pretty sure I paid full price for the basegame, and got the expansion on sale, but I am definitely satisfied with my purchase. I would like to see Ubisoft commit to making the game available offline when they decide to shut it down (same for D1 which I also bough after having played D2 for a few months) just as they did with World in Conflict. Other than that, I reckon I've definitely had my monies worth a few times over.

It has helped to distract from real problems for a while at least. When I see random players dropping me exotics instead of keeping for exotic components I still have faith in humanityEvery exotic I actually use was shared initially.
I've had the game for less than 3 months. I have spent too much time on this game of over 645Hrs.
I still see alot of new players these days. Like any MMO a subsciption model to support the game and content like missions/new maps etc might work rather than rely on constant stream of new players one off purchases to maintain servers and development. New players money stream being used to support legacy players like me who bought game on sale won't be enough.
They should highlight in game to new players warnings I wish somebody told me from day 1!
- Recalibrating an attribute locks you down to only being able to edit it in future
- CHC 60% cap without any indication
- Better to keep gear with at least 2 good rolls like 1-2% near perfection for build diversity in future you may look into. 3rd attribute can be rolled to max.
- Better to farm for better rolls then only use optimisation for last 1-2%. Wasting more time and materials in long term otherwise.
- Mission directives only affect XP and does not affect loot quality. Unlike Summit, which also has loot targeting.
- How to get SHD/Field recon resources
- Mass develop all weapon attachment mods
- How to reroll exotics and exotics 20 components cap.
- Saving specialisation loadouts
- Hazard Protection does not cover Explosions
Day 1 I felt so overwhelmed and made so many gearing mistakes I turned to youtube instead of any in game help.
There is one thing that could be easily changed that would make a WORLD of difference. How about at settlements or safe houses enable public text and voice chat. Not hard to implement and would make it feel like an MMO and community in game. Makes it easier to interact for random conversations without having to add people to groups just to communicate briefly.
This game is pretty addictive, bought it on sale, then bought the dlc and now i am almost 700 hours in.
It has become my go to activity when i dont have anything else to do.
Somehow i always look for that little bit better gear, and now i am getting the rolls i want, and then you get ideas for builds, remember the godrolled piece you got that really didnt fit in but suddenly its perfect in that build.
So yes pretty addictive this.
