Penalties for frequently leaving match mid game?

I keep seeing people leaving when they losing a match mostly 2-0 and 3-0 and it is real annoying. Being on both the currently winning and the currently losing side and then people just quitting.
Also people quitting just as the game starts? I have seen others say because of "quick match with matchmaking broken" and others " Will not play with people with no mics" For us Hearing impaired players or Parents with family ( or both ) who do not wish to annoy players with background noise, could maybe have an option for "MIC only/No Mic/Do Not Mind in the future please?
I can understand when leaving due to issues beyond control ( Game crash, IRL emergency, etc ) but this is happening a lot and more often than not by the same people.
The games do not last that long, you can come back from 2-0/3-0 why quit?

    Just some thoughts
    Thanks

True i was gonna suggest the same thing, its really annoying especially cause the bots are extremely incompetent and often just do nothing and stand around in the arena not moving at all...

From watching some people online in EU region I have read and seen players do this as reason being it prevents the "loss of fans" .
found also happening a lot as people cannot speak multiple languages.

It's extremely annoying when it crashes your game and I mean, we all lose games it is not big deal, I would rather find good team mates who are willing to play as a team and lose more and have good fun!, over finding bad team mates who just hog the ball, actually take the ball from a team mate then quit when losing.... Honestly I would rather play with the AI bots LOL

Maybe the "Fans" system and how it rewards players could be looked at?

Just to add: I found the 2v2 to be worse for this, how about you?

I didnt play 2v2 and also currently I dont know i still gain Fans when losing, I have around 1780 Fans but Id definetely call me one of the higher Elo players right now as i understand physics and mechanics quick. In this game the way to victory in both attack and defense is teamplay. Passing is key in offense just as speed boosting by grabbing a teammate. Of course a clutch wall throw jump to get some speed might be clutch but many players dont understand this game is based on a 3v3 and meant to paly like a 3v3 not like a 1v3. Same thing in defense. An attacker an almsot everytime dodge 1 defender with some pathing, dodge or jump. But if theres 2 or 3 defenders, that can block multiple paths it gets much more difficult. I also think the 5 points to win system doesnt really work, as its actually not as hard as it seems to get a 3lapper done quick if you communicate with your teammates. Good positioning pathing and espcially 2 rounds are easily done, as often when finnished with the 1st lap you ahve a lot of space to your enemies and they are spread out allowing you for a quick 2nd lap, which already wins you halve the game... AND BECAUSE THIS IS SO HEAVILY BASED ON TEAMPLAY its almost impossible to win with teammates who never pass or just quit. In my opinion they should lose 50 fans or something for quitting and a little Leaver Buster, similar to League of Legends, also in Ranked play, the game should be counted as a "hard" loss for them meaning they lose 1,5x the elo they'd lose on a normal loss... Of course the bots do have teamplay integrated like always passing when you call etc, but they just arent as competent as real humans when it comes to team moves, positioning and pathing... If 1 player quits, the game is often decided already, thats why players leaving mid game or even late game should get a big penalty to prohibit such behaviour.

Hi, you really still gain fans even when losing a match? do you mind me asking what platform you are on please?
mine is odd, I can lose 200 fans by losing one match, I thought maybe fans were gained and lost by amount of ball possession by team, dodges, goals etc and lost from team losing match.
I have not got to 1000 fans at all as I keep losing them, I currently play with randoms on PS4 so I am wondering if there is an issue with Fans system, I know I do not always get fans by winning matches either as has been said previous by another player. Bug maybe not across all platforms?

I often find myself in a 1v3 match, I think from not using mic ( Hearing impaired ) but I have found a few teamplayers which is a breath of fresh air.
I do not play League of Legends so I have no idea what the loss is or how it works in that game.
BUT yes, yes and YES! Teamplay is the key! Though trying to "Slingshot" or "Whip" with AI doesn't always work if as they glitch lol.

Edit to add:- would be good if the Fans system was more realistic, I find it hard to believe a Football player or team for eg would lose so many loyal fans by losing 1 match or place in a league.

Ubisoft instead of banning people who come out of the match should throw them into matches with other people who tend to leave the match.

I agree that in the final release there should be bans: lenient bans for quick play, prolonged bans for ranked. You just don't go play ranked and leave every game, it ruins all the fun. Consider some bans dev team and rather be too rough than too forgiving. Nicely worked out ban and report systems do work in games, inhibiting behavior of nasty players.

EDIT. Actually the suggestion of @Matias-saitaM is better.

Problem with that is they would have no one to game with at all, probably rage quit, make a new account and do same thing all over again.

Personally I would give them a Time out, the more matches you leave ( if multiple in hour ) the longer the time out.

What has to be taken into consideration is Language barrier, People who do not use mics and Toxicity.
