So I got another new Ubisoft Connect client update this afternoon and decided to try it again.
This time I decided to precisely time it and did 4 tries. The first 2 were with the Golden Bullet Event turned on. Both times crashed precisely 3 mins and 50 seconds. Both times the same amount of time.
The second two times, with it off took precisely 3 minutes with the event deactivated.
The crashes were the same with it just freezing and going into Windowed Mode. Having to end the program through Task Manager again.
My PC Specs:
CPU - i9 9900K
GPU - RTX 3090
RAM - 32GB DDR4
PSU - EVGA 1000W
SSD - Samsung Evo 970 1TB
SSD - Samsung 840/850/860/860 (4TB Total)
SOUND - Creative SB AE-9 + Audio Technica MSR7b
OS - Windows 10
In my case, I had the game open at 3:30pm GMT+1, while I was doing other stuff. I played no problem all evening until 12 am with no issues, crashes or anything while all the rest of my clan were unable to play. Today, when I tried to open the game, the client downloaded a 60mb launcher update, and then I started having the same issue with the game freezing and crashing to desktop after a few minutes of gaming. So I'm pretty confident that whatever that 60mb patch is, might be the cause of the problem.
