Maybe just a coincidence, but I was fighting against named elites both times I got a CTD today (1st on the lawn of the White House, 2nd a rooftop in NY), with Hollywood event active.

    1. clean all installed nVidia drivers and bloatware on your PC with Display Driver Uninstaller (find it here)
    2. reinstall the Geforce drivers only (without extra bloatware from nVidia) with this neat program NVSlimmer (find it here)

That's it. Your game should stop crashing. I hope it works for you.
Unfortunately it does not really reduce the random freeze of frames.
I'd love to see some feedback on this. Anyone try? I have a RTX 2060.

Same problem for me. The game crash systematically crashes after 5-10mn.

I had stopped playing several months ago. I'm going back to it and thinking I could buy the content of the extension. But under these conditions it's obviously dead...

    - NVidia GeForce GTX 1660 TI
    - i5-7600k
    - Latest Nvidia server
    - Ubisoft connect overlay disabled
    - All nvidia tweaks done

I confirm a solid result on my GeForce RTX 2060. Played 5 hours yesterday without a crash.
BTW, in my case crashes started when I installed GeForce Experience that I needed to record screen.
I suspect it was the troublemaker since I've been cautious not to install it again. See 2. in my previous post about how to do it. But it could have been caused by other bloatwares from nVidia that I also excluded from the reinstallation.

Curious if you are running the Ubisoft overlay? I do like a way to grab a screenshot.

I've been plagued with the 5min CTD for last few weeks and tried a lot of things. So decided to try close to what you suggested..

Stopped GeForce Experience, settings, overlay & replay stuff just from exiting via the taskbar, run Div2 and got 2+ hours straight without a crash or even those occasional frame stutters I get. All while still streaming & running OBS and other stream software (Streamlabs chatbot, etc.)

So after those few hours, I closed the game, restarted all the GeForce junk, ran Division 2... and it DIDN'T crash out after 5 minutes???

Once again, just either random luck and still inconclusive. All I can do is try again a couple more times, see if killing GeForce first works.

    Hello guys,

Maybe this will not help anybody but it doesn't cost anything to tell you how I do to avoid any crashes that I encountered too. Each time before starting the game, run windows powershell then type : ipconfig /flushdns

Don't forget the space between the "g" and th"/". Do it for both X64 and x86 then run the game. It will just erase your DNS cache (found on ubi player support for disconnections problems).
I hope it will work for you.

    Have a good game.

Updated post : Well, first crash ever after 10-15 minutes since I use flushing DNS. It happened 10-15 minutes after launching the game...sad.

At least for me crashing appears related to the installation of KB4601319. After that update installs the game will crash within a few minutes repeatedly. Uninstalling the update fixed the problem until windows update re-installs it. The update is related to security of input devices, my guess is that there is a conflict with the update and easy anti-cheat, but that is just a guess. The game just closes without any warning in the middle of what you are doing, like something killed the process. I'm thinking that something in the update triggers easy anti-cheat into thinking you are cheating and it kills the game.

EDIT: Noticed this in the KB web page:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...a-40cfab2fbfde

"Microsoft and Discord have found incompatibility issues with some games using Direct3D 12 when the in-game overlay feature of Discord is enabled. When attempting to open affected games you might receive an error, or the game might close silently."

Based on that I disabled the Discord overlay, GeoForce Experience overlay, Ubisoft Connect overlay, and the XBOX game bar. Still crashed. I then killed Afterburner/RivaTuner and GeoForce Experience. With both of those killed I was able to play for 5 minutes without a CTD. However the instant someone invited me to a group I CTD'ed loading into their instance.
