Hi @Ubisoft Team
Any chance we can get a progress update on potential causes / official fixes for this issue (that do not involve the USERS having to screw with their baseline computer settings)?
Because it means we can't exactly do the manhunts and their associated time-limited events for the rewards, which are oh, I dunno, TIME LIMITED!?!?
I get that the devs are looking into the issue, but there has been almost no word as to progress.
Or compensation for potential losses from the events (more a management level issue? not dev team for this really).
It seems like the only people even responding on this issue are other users who have potential fixes, or more problems, and level 1 support staff who seem overworked and under appreciated, given that they lack the necessary information from higher to adequately reply to our queries.
Edit:
Just reinstalled my game a 2nd time to give it a try, even verified the files a 4th time, issue is STILL happening.
And the user fixes provided on the forums dont seem to help either, nor does the official advice on the troubleshooting page.
game crashes with DX12 and DX 11, i turned off uplay overlay and still the same problem. I am sending crash reports when ever I get the uplay popup message but most of the time there is no crash report, the game sometimes crashes and other times it freezes so I need to close it from task manager with end task. Right now I got three game crashes on one mission, I can't even complete it with so many crashes. At first I thought that the crash happens only when you play with other people but these last few days I also play solo and it still crashes very frequently. I also used to play on windowed mode with multiple monitors but since that game wasn't very stable I am now on one monitor and playing on fullscreen. I have a high end pc so hardware shouldn't be a problem, I also have the latest windows and GPU drivers and I run the game on optimized settings in order to prevent more problems. I get some crashes from AC Valhalla sometimes as well, but games from other brands are fine.
I think you got lucky as I keep the Ubisoft Connect open on my second monitor always.Originally Posted by Cephsus Go to original post
Hi,
I am currently having issues with the game crashing.
At random points the game will just go into a windowed mode, with a black screen and unresponsive.
Looking at task manager, it comes up with it not responding, 0 cpu usage and using about 5gb of ram.
Pc specs:
R7 5800x
32gb ram
Gigabyte Aorus x570 ultra
gtx1080
750w evga psu
hopefully this is enough
Thanks in advanced
I am having the exact same issue as davieharbouski above. This crash will happen randomly in the game EXCEPT for Kenly College. I have a 100% crash rate while trying to do Kenly College. I have not been able to get beyond Story difficulty at Kenly College, despite many attempts, because of the 100% crash rate. The Kenly College crash can happen anywhere between the helicopter ride out there and the third investigation at the Library. I have never been able to complete the Library. The crash is usually going to Window Mode with a black screen. On rare occasions it will remain full screen, and I have to alt-tab to Task Manager running on my second monitor to kill the game process.
