i tried this fix but it hasn't worked it keeps crashingOriginally Posted by longliverng Go to original post
I've followed all the steps in the description, and it worked for me - my game no longer crashes. I know it might be a local fix, but it's worth trying.Originally Posted by Adrixux Go to original post
I also tried ALL these steps and the in-game freeze just occurred after an hour or so of play. Again, I appreciate everyone on the user side trying to resolve it - but it seems fairly clear this remains a PC client-side application issue or server-side. Literally, EVERYONEI play with on PC in Division 2 is experiencing these in-game freeze/crashes over the course of a session. And I have close to four thousand hours of gameplay, so this is still on Ubisoft and Massive to fix,Originally Posted by longliverng Go to original post
The Ubisoft Connect issues have just been the icing on the cake of late.
Today I had 2 crashes while playing DUA - special event "zombie" active, first time on Heroic, second time on Legendary.
The game froze and I couldn't do anything.
The first time I used CTRL+ALT+CANC to manually terminate the game, but the second time the Task Manager was not showing up, so I had to manually enforce user disconnection.
Of course for today I am done playing TD2. Up to yesterday I have never had such issue.
Whatever's going on with the crashing to desktop error is an unparalleled issue. I even have AMD asking to send very specific bug reports about the matter, although it's not even driver related (considering that I have used both WHQL and Non-WHQL).
The fact that this hasn't been fixed since the update tells me that it probably won't, which in turn explains why "Heartland" is being developed. Over the course of the last 4 years, TD2 has been updated and something has broken every...single...time. I think the engine has so much toxic code in it now that it just can't recover. Obviously a complete server reset isn't going to fix it, so the devs just need to scrap it and start from scratch again.
