Guys, i might found a solution for the crashing (at least for me), all i did was in Nvidia control panel - 3D settings -> program setting (2nd tab - with division 2 selected) and changed the energy/power managment settings to max performance and CUDA processors to ALL, i also suggest to change veritical sync to FAST - picture of my current settings:
Before these changes, i had HUGE problems with game stability.. randomly crashes/freezes while loading/fast travel, or just standing in one place doing nothing. And by any means i should not dare to alt+tab to windows, because this had me hard restart my computer.
Please try and let me know if that helps.
I didn't initially experience the crashes to desktop but I am now unable to play for more then about 5 seconds after logging in before a crash to desktop. The crashes are consistent in terms of timing and they happen every time I have logged in so far.
Edit: All my other games including Ubisoft titles are working fine.
I had two crashes today, the first happening just minutes after loading the game, and the other happening after a couple hours of playtime. Fun.
On that note, D2 has some of the most perplexing technical bugs I've ever encountered in a game -- random crashes, CTDs, mission restarts out of thin air, dropped items that blink out of existence, legendary crafting materials that vanish from inventory, etc. The game can't even load normally from startup 50% of the time.
Well, multiple CTDs last night, for each of my friends and myself, within the first 20-minutes of play, then played for about an hour. As usual, no changes to our setups. Then all of a sudden stuttering and CTDs again for all of us.
Certainly doesn't instill confidence in any new titles Ubi's Devs might be working on, now that they're apparently done investing time into D2
You never fixed it, btw if it helps i do run windows 10 21h1 update nvidia driver 465.89 dx11 or dx12 does not impact it, i noticed there potential memory leak as i see gpu usage climb slowly consistently and almost never decreasing, this does not look like intended behaviour, this has written memory leak written all over it, especially video memory.
