They are probably waiting for a not so busy hours to apply the fix and that would probably require to restart the servers...doing so at this hour will impact other platforms (xbox, PS4/5)

    The Division 2 is unplayable

After yesterday's update, The Division 2 is unplayable. Within 5 minutes of launching, the buzzing sound freezes and the frozen game must crash in the task manager.

That is an interesting new issue. What do you mean the "buzzing sound" freezes the game? Are you talking about a certain sound within the game (e.g. drone buzzing) or are you literally experiencing "buzzing" from your speakers that isn't associated with normal game sounds?

Yesterday I could play for hours. Ubisoft Connect tried to run some kind of script, which didn't seem to work well, had to say yes six times for it to go away. Like everyone else, I can play for less than five minutes today without a crash. No amount of testing on my end makes a wit of difference. IMO this is clearly server side, some kind of conflict with the launcher that is creating instability that results in a crash. I say crash, but it is only partial, If I wait patiently and listen, I can hear the game audio for a time. The system manages to save my progress, what little there is, so its not a complete crash.

Putting this game on the back burner for a while again, in hopes they figure out what the heck the did. Last time I did that, I didn't pick it up again for over a year.
    Good luck.

This issue certainly seems like it is completely server-side. I had zero issues from 8am-5pm EST playing Division 2 and then suddenly the windows/freeze/crashes began around 5pm EST and have continued since. If it was the client-side Uplay Connect application I don't think it would have had zero issues prior to 5pm.

Whatever maintenance was done today.... needs to be rolled back ASAP.

And an update on the status of the investigation would be useful to the user base that has been OFFLINE for hours.

I don't think you understand what "server-side" means given the rest of this garbage post KEKW
