Forgot to add (for the poster asking), I'm on Win10 version 20H2.
I've paused updates after uninstalling KB5001330 so it wouldn't be reinstalled by Windows Update at its next opportunity. I read today that supposedly Microsoft has disabled this update, but I'll wait another few days before re-enabling Windows Update "auto" updating.
Also, I've stopped playing with anyone else as the game crashing has been so frequent for these past few months that the crashes rendered me an unreliable teammate (polar opposite to my actual reputation as a reliable third or fourth teammate).
Best regards.
Here we ******g go again. Crash about 3 min in. Good job Ubi, how about you remove the **** anti-cheat and connect and just fix this once and for all. You know it's one of those ******g things, so do it already.
Again, don't care much, it's only a game, but I kinda still would like to get some use for my money.

Anyways, I was on 19041, updated to 20H2 on Tuesday night. Before the update I wasn't able to play without dumping the shader cache every time I ran the game, sometimes even having to do it twice before it worked. For giggles, I left the shader cache alone after the 20H2 update and have been playing for 3 days with no issues. Of course I'm typing this now, so it will probably crash tonight, but so far it looks good. I am also DX11.
Another thing I noticed is that when I crash, my RAM is absolutely tapped, which is pretty ridiculous for just having the game running and having 32GB.
I'd like to add my solution, once again, it may not work for everyone, but it worked for me.
I too was having crash to desktop issues, even just standing in my base and going through my inventory, it would just suddenly crash to desktop.
After trying all the suggested fixes and solutions here, I discovered that by going directly to my executable in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Tom Clancy's The Division 2\TheDivision2.exe
Right clicking on my exe and clicking on run as admin let me play the game without crashes, as long as I wanted to. I've tried DX11, and DX12, all manner of graphics settings in the game itself and in nvidia control panel and as long as I right clicked directly on my exe, I would have zero problems. I can even play with the Ubisoft overlay turned on.
I also discovered that Division 2 DOES NOT LIKE HAVING OBS RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND, as soon as I shut down OBS, all my crashes to desktop stopped.
Hopefully this also works for someone else.
Good luck agents, hopefully Ubisoft actually does something about this.
