Also, 144hz and 240hz isn't a big difference for most, but for players like myself who have quite incredible reaction times, that can make a PHENOMENAL difference.

a lot of grandmasters and some from this forum are on that level thanks to their uber rigs, I think the game needs a frame cap of 75-100 , otherwise the difference is too big, not to mention the better rig the less input lag-delay. also add the cheaters using scripts in pc and yeah it is infuriating.

There is no - uniform framerate this game has no forced benchmark before going online thus the stats are not really avaible to say how many ppl on pc are playing on what fps to give us better understanding
I would only agree to unified fps , when cross platform is implemented because it would improve the health and playerbase of the game.
If you would bluntly force 60 fps on pc without giving anything in return a I really think it would easily kill round 50% pc playerbase.

Again my argument stands calling for pc to downgrade to 60 fps because some peeps are playing at it is straight bs as calling for new consoles to drop from 60 fps to 30 fps because some people could not afford new consoles and they are now forced to fight people who have new consoles.
How to do you know these days on console ranked if you not bullying guy who has half the frame rate and does that make you bad at the game or him good? stupid argument again.

You should all turn your attention why you dont have a choice to play fh on new consoles at 120 fps as the xboxx and ps5 states that some game support this option.

Why is not For Honor among them why console ppl cant choose between full hd 120 fps or ultra hd 60 fps... This is how pc master races memes are created because its 2021 and consoles have still have limited options compare to pc.

And you guys instead petitioning Ubisoft to create such option just come here to **** on pc players who have this option and make use of it.. Kinda sad world we living in isnt it?

I have 144 hz monitor with 1 ms time response. My fps can reach 130-140 if I play with everything in low including resolution (in duels). While it benefits me , there are some rigs that are better to the point of reach over 160 fps, with good or ultra quality, and minimum input lag. What I can tell is that over 144 is overkill, I fought someone with the newest 350 hz monitor...I barely did a scratch, I dont think he could reach 350 fps, but at least with some options turned off and with a super gpu(he can buy that monitor so he can buy the best gpu out there) he could reach 180, 200 fps easily.

I proposed a while ago a mode with capped fps and a mode without the cap, a competitive mode with a cap of 100 fps would be acceptable. While my 144 hz monitor is helping me , I ´m not that young so I mainly bought it to not be in disadvantage against teens and younger lads, 144hz is already a lot , 165 and beyond I think they are overkill. I can asure you my reaction times now are at least 30% better, is a game changer in 4vs4 . In duels is somewhat harder to evaluate, but yes it improved my kill death ratio.

I have also the new xbox and the 120 fps option would be great, doesnt matter if I need to low the resolution and turn off some fancy things.

Not everything needs to be competitive. A lot of people are just would like to have fun and use all the power of their PC's (btw mine is a low-end one).

I think a good solution would be to cap the FPS on PC only in Ranked, and leave it uncapped everywhere else.

I can't fully agree with the statement=P2W because that's a very short statement that leaves the door open for a lot of conclusions.

It's true that if you go above 144 there are niche scenarios that you can better react to compared to below that threshold. However the statement makes it sound like all you need to do is have a beefy setup and you solve the game. Which isn't true. It also makes it sound like good players are only good because of said setups. Which is also false. Since there are console tournaments that have happened where good pc players went and played on them and still ended up winning said tournaments.

This conversation just has overlaps with old conversations that I don't really care to go over so i'll just say this. Capping frames is something that both console and pc players have proposed and want to happen at some point. Especially if cross platform ever comes to be a thing. At present though this is likely a fruitless effort since old gen systems cannot even hit 60fps which would be the minimum. FH will likely either need a soft reboot if not a brand new release to fix all the issues with the game's current code to say the least.

Until then though you're just going to have to treat high FPS players as irregularities just as many of the issues old gen players deal with (aka horrible input delay.) Because neither of these things are considered by the devs as the intended experience for their game. And thus are not balanced around. They often look for a middle ground. Which is why we still get heros and reworks/updates that ride the line on borderline reactable offense rather than having truly unreactable play be the way forward.

I've yet to see any known pc player speak against fps caps. Even the best pc players in the game support the decision. The only push back i've witnessed has been from people who spent a lot of money for an expensive console setup. (i.e gaming controller, wired controller, very big and expensive tv's.) So unless you've got some links or videos or images that show known pc players pushing against an fps cap i'm going to have to call BS.

I actually must agree that while higher frames can give unfair advantages between players of the same skill, it isn't pay to win.

There are plenty of players who run 240fps but just aren't very good and they still perform terribly, as they should, just as there are players like myself who can still manage low-mid diamond rank on PC with only 60-100fps.

I played For Honor with 30 fps for 2 years, and with 60fps for 1 year. My skill didn't get better after switch, I still cant parry lishts and sometimes heavys because connention. I just see more clearly some bullsh*t in game, like f*cked up animations.

lol this is true also, you can see clearly how ugly some animations truly are with more fps and refreshing rates hahaha
A better monitor and higher fps can give you advantages but it will not make any player a god, skill is still needed, practice and all of that.
