    Question/discussion about Far Cry 6

Looks cool. Personally wanted an arctic setting, but I'll take any Far Cry. BUT MY QUESTION: Anyone have speculation on what all the red stuff is that the government is spraying everywhere? Seems important.VidMate Mobdro

A mysterious red fog, which falls on the fields, the authorities have declared that there is no danger for the population. The local government says they are experimenting with a new treatment for the tobacco fields. It’s definitely not good... drugs? poison? deadly gas?

    Better not Arctic but Antarctic.

    White bear vs penguin.

    Who will win?

There were many bears in Far Cry.....I think penguin looks more promissing and has more potential.

    As for the smoke....

I think it's colored smoke, fiers.
    Colors of present day protests.

In some countries forest fires are extinguished with colored water.

It can be anti-drug chemicals, spraying above the drug fields.
(Unlikely that Anton is spraying the virus.)

I only hope this is not a bliss from Far Cry 5!

It can be a symbolic color in the game.
Color that is trying to extinguish something, to suppress.
To suppress something bad - like fire and drugs.

    And color of protest, resistance.
    Fighting against suppression.

But in different hands it has different meaning.
Something that seemed clear first may be not so clear later.

You can always find yourself in "HELL IS PAVED WITH GOOD INTENTIONS" situation.

Whatever it is we only learn about everything from the game itself.

The smoke is more than likely a combination of multiple uses in game. Herbicide/insecticide, protests flares etc.

As for the arctic thing, i think that cold settings are not the best for a game that relies heavily on densely populated maps in terms of outposts, vegetation and animals. Having a show covered flat landscape only would personally feel boring as hell.

As for bears, there are no bears in antarctic. So no bears vs penguins. Arctos means bear in greek and antarctos means litteraly "no bears".

white bear vs penguin - it meant Arctic vs Antarctic.

Arctic symbolic animal vs Antarctic symbolic animal.

    Which animal has more potential?

Of course, we all know that there are no white bears in Antarctica.
Bears and penguins can't coexist together, in nature.

Penguins would be easy prey for polar bears.

Gathering in flocks, penguins would be a Thanksgiving dinner table for the bears.
    Especially baby penguins.

Moreover, Antarctic has more ice thikness and white bears just can't break it as they are used to do in Arctic.

I've read that there were even experiment when polar bears were delivered to Antarctica.
And experiment when penguins were delivered to Arctica.

In both cases it ended very bad.

For pengiuns there are no open water spaces in Arctic to dive and to play.

One of those Arctic ringed pengiuns was found in Antarctic later!
    What a great travelling.

Arctic and Antarctic - so similar at first glance and so different in reality.

People were living everywhere, since ancient times.
    Even in Arctic region.

People were living everywhere, except Antarctic!

    Antarctic is melting very fast.
It is a place for future potential conflicts.
    (as Arctic)

But in Antarctic the whole world is gathered.
    With their research stations.

    These stories can be there:

    1) Possible military conflict, or some mess.

    2) Antarctic - some deadly virus free zone.
    With its mess inside.

Power seizure - "King of Antarctic".

    3) Terrorists. Cruise ship hijacking then research station capturing. Nuking Antarctica.

    4) Antarctic Sci-Fi story.

    5) Or mixture of them or something else.

Antarctic is the place where Vaas can and should appear again!

Michael Mando want to play Vaas again!
So many gamers want to see Vaas again!

Why not to let it happen?!

    There is a Demand!

Vaas was in the south, hot, setting.
Now he will be in the north, cold setting.

From under the tropic sun - to under the polar sun!
    From jungles to snow.

    "Getting cold, mother f-cker!?"

Talking about Antarctic Far Cry setting we're talking about Сoastal Area, mostly.
    Not snow deserts.

It should be location stretched along the coast.
    Mostly in summer time.

But polar night and polar day must also be presented in the game.

    Diving should be important part.
    Diving and shooting among icebergs.

Research stations of different countries as outposts.

Antarctic can be funny and unusual place for one of the future Far Cry settings.
The place where the whole world meets.

I'm in agreement with you that I would not want a fully arctic map, however, if they created a map that had a good chunk of it covered in snow, that could be cool. I absolutely LOVE Red Dead Redmeption 2's map, and while tragically under-utilized, the snowy region contained within it is incredible. Sadly no Far Cry game's map has even come even remotely close to being as good as RDR2's.

They did a good Chunk of icy map in FC Primal. This game is the one where the most diverse environments where displayed, from tundra to forests, bogs and cliffs. A very nice combination.

As for your claims, Guru, i d say that those so called experiments sound so dumb they re probably fake. The rest makes no real sense in scientific terms (bears surely can t hunt seals on a terrestial ice cap, while a bunch of penguin species do cohabitate and are preyed upon by a variety of large predators, from pumas to lions just to quote a few). So i guess the debate is on another level, even though FC games are known for taking liberties with actual wildlife distribution.

i have also played this game red dead redemption and i agree that it has a wonderful map that i do not think ubisoft will ever quite match in far cry

There were many such experiments, in both poles, with all kind of animals.
Despite the fact that it's forbidden to import the outsiders to Antarctica.

There is not only one scientific interest there.

    As for map....

Far Cry map is O.K, for me.
    Only very beautiful.

No need to immitate RDR2 map.
    Any immitation is disgusting.

Good that RDR2 began in snowy region.
But it was very short, and moving into green area was very fast.

What is the uniqness of Antarctica?

It has no trees. At all.

Far Cry in Arctica will be something like snowy Far Cry 4 + snowy Far Cry 5.
    With bears, wolves....again.

But it's all been done before!
    Game start repeating itself.

Antarctica....With all its abandoned buildings, stations, factories + ultra modern scientific research stations + secret underground bunkers.
    Plus absolutely new animals.
    Astonishing icebergs and colors.

It even looks like another planet.

    It will be something new.

Only Antarctica will give new incredible atmosphere!
