So a while back, I decided to play the free, 5-hour trial of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, and without a doubt, I haven't had that much fun playing a military shooter in a while. So, obviously, I want to buy and play the whole package now.
The thing is, I want this game to perform as well as possible on my PC, and seeing as how Wildlands is available on three separate platforms - those platforms being Steam, Origin, and Ubisoft Connect - I am wondering if there will be any differences depending on whether I purchase Wildlands on Steam, Origin, or Ubi Connect. I'd like to know, specifically, if the game will run better or worse if bought from a certain platform, if the game will take up more or less storage space depending on what platform it is purchased on, and if there will be more or less content available depending on which platform I buy the game on.
I already know that buying Wildlands from Steam will allow me to write a review on Steam, which is something I will not be able to do on Origin or Ubi+, but, like I said, I still am unsure if there are any performance, storage, or content differences depending on from where I buy the game. If anyone would be willing to give me helpful answers, I would be grateful. Thank you and good day.
Hi EliTheGreatOneO,
Thank you for contacting us.
There is no different in performance or size between the game versions on each platform, they should all be around the same size.
One thing to note is that with Steam and Origin, you will still need to have Ubisoft Connect open to launch the game. So if you have a slower PC, having the two clients could potentially cause some difference in performance.
