    Optimization clarification

I optimized an M1a to15% WD. I have another M1a & Bakers Dozen. Shouldn't it show 15% WD will be available even if I lack resources? My other M1a is 13% with 13.6 available. The Bakers is similar. Neither shows the full 15%. Is this a glitch? Obviously it won't let me optimize without resources so I can't imagine why it would discount the full amount available. I have another what I think is a gear error that reads 15% status effect. I thought the max was 10%?

Depending on how far out the value is from maximum, optimization may occur in stages, with progressively increasing material costs. The closer the value is to a stage, the lesser amount of materials are required to reach said stage.

Where are you reading the 15% status effect? As skill attributes, status effects max out at 10%. However, as gear set (ie. 2+ pc. Eclipse Protocol) bonuses, they are 15%.

Firm Handshake, is a named pair of gloves that give 15% status.

It's just for that named item and cannot be used on anything else.

    ^ +1.

'Named' items have an exclusive (ie. outside of recalibration) talent or attribute that often exceeds normal values and/or availability.

After further review they are allowing Optimization in stages as mentioned. I tested it & to me its another a hustle. Thats like landing 30 yards short of a field goal. Any way its just another massive gotcha.

The status effects are on Sokolov Firm handshake gloves. In the recal library it shows max status effects to be at 10%. In optimization it shows them at max value 15%. The two do not agree. I'm disappointed at both but none one at ubi/massive ever cared anyway.

On the contrary, if 1 single optimization could give you max values it would be meaningless to farm at all or to play at higher difficulties.
Optimization is a very powerful tool, but it cannot be a dispenser of godrolls.

We just explained to you that those gloves are a special item and they are the only item in the whole game that can have 15% Status.

I was thinking about this and wondered if it would work if they let you combine exotics. For example if you had two Pestilence LMG's, one had perfect WD and the other perfect Armor damage, you meld the two together as one with the best of both?

Why is the idea of a players becoming powerful such an evil idea? Why is having godrolls reserved for a small percentage of players is ok, but if everyone can do it breaks the game in your opinion? At some point players should be feeling rewarded for playing the game and it shouldn't be offensive to everyone.

Let you do what? I can't even imagine them entertaining that mix. I just wanted to Optimize an old rifle & it appears they want a first born to do that. Instead its a small fraction at a time. At this rate & my lower level I'll be to old to finish the game. I bet they think I am laying down so nothing comes my way. Massive doesn't G-A-Sht about you I or anyone else. They just want you around to hawk more broken programs.
