Why aren’t humans recognised as animals on card text?

Cards like city wok guy say their charge affects animals. Well, maybe I’m nitpicking but as an evolutionary biologist it kinda grinds my gears that the text suggests humans aren’t animals.

Can I suggest editing the text on these cards to recognise humans as animals?
So, for instance with CWG, his text would read Charged: explodes allied non human animals.

I hope this makes sense. Thank u.

What do you want? City Wok Guy blowing himself up while nuking everything that’s not inorganic, Tupperware, or Chaos Hamsters? Nymph Nichole getting boosts to the point that removals are the only way to counter her?

What’s next? Lava! should harm flying units as well because the air around it is also hot?

I like your point, although I feel it falls on deaf ears. (And there are other cards with text I think could be made clearer, too.)

Just out of curiosity, would you consider MBP to be a nonhuman animal?

Thanks for your time to reply, I suggested a change to the card text, since people are animals. I hope you have a good day 😘

Thanks! I was playing after work (I work in an animal lab) and it just got me thinking. The majority of manbearpig is bear/pig. So I’d say a non human animal.

From a biological standpoint you aren't wrong, humans are essentially animals as well. But we have evolved to become intelligent beings. so from a social aspect we don't see ourselves as animals, we are superior to animals. When an ordinary person talks about animals they do not usually refer to humans as being animals. I think the cards are just fine, it simplifies the wording and the majority of players understand that humans aren't considered animals
