Well for those that are still hoping of near future extensions of the game I did notice something weird. While doing 'The Gate' check point in NYC with two characters I noticed there was thread indication in the radar, pointing to the north of CP. In current map there is nothing there, so why would there be NPCs posing a thread? It's like where you are close to DZ you get the same indication on the radar from NPCs that are inside the DZ. So for what it's worth we might actually see something new ... when or what is another question.

Having said that this could also be a bug, there are plenty of those in the game so I won't rule that out too. Fingers crossed ...

No I didn't, never interested in those rooms. If that was the thread then okay, He lost his key for the door?

In the white house, there's an image on a TV that highlights all the settlements in DC. However, there's a highlighted location where a settlement does not exist.

These occurances implying new locations could be another Central Park thing, where "CP01" (etc.) signs were found in the DZ checkpoints.

Then game lore killed the dream.

Hey mate, just wanna say, its not that the game is ending its how they ended it, silence and the very poor ending to Faye Lau, its sad, reason they launched div 2 is they had to change the coding as you know the clunky mechanics and graphics had to be change to pursue new generation of pc's and consoles

I still don't understand why many expect Ubi/Massive to be a giant exception in the industry. There are zero games that drop full fledged DLC on a 6 month basis. Yearly DLC, plus a new game mode 6 months later is realistic - which is exactly what we got. Seasons are optional, and I prefer them to nothing [which is the alternative].

If this is the end, it was a great run [with a disappointing finish], but I'm still giving them til April, as I've stated all along. In the meantime, maybe I'll finally slog through the end of Div1 [in the hopes that Survival & Resistance make up for the inferior gameplay] and RDR2.. or get distracted by the new Hitman earlier than I anticipated.. who knows, plenty of other games to play while I wait for the next SOTG [if there is one?]
I don't think any of us would be upset if Division franchise got the Rainbow 6 or WoW treatment. However they just seem to resort to a skeleton crew and flimsy to no content after year 2. I'll still play a Division 3, but I don't think I can ever invest the kind of time in this franchise again as I did in the first two installments. Its going to be a game I pick up for $15 a year down the road. I wanted this to be my COD or WoW type game, but it's obvious this franchise is never going to be like that, no matter how much so many of us want it to be.

I would totally drop $100+ a year if we got a WONY + Summit every 6 months too - I just don't see Ubi greenlighting it.

Hell, I'd pay $10/mo if it guaranteed one new mission per month, plus a Stronghold every 3mo, and annual Incursion + Game Mode + map expansion..

The next few months will give us a better idea on how Ubi views the franchise [I'll likely be taking a break until news breaks] - they have some low hanging fruit that could show some good will [release Classifieds for all with scaling & targeted loot, add White Tusk option for Open World "Legendary" as well as Invaded, add selectable Targeted Loot for Invaded DZ with SC option], plus the announcement of an expanded QA/Bug team and plan for new Anti-Cheat system. Another high impact project could be to have a team update the Div1 map to Div2 & post-hurricane, then release a DLC to fill in the areas between.

Maybe after the Green Poison, COVID-21 will be the next virus that will cause great pain and suffering in that world!

    Its simply not necessary!

D2 got a fresh nextgen-(performance) update. Even if D3 will be announced, it will nearly not have any benefit from technical side. It simply will eat up a huge amount of resources at Massive/Ubi who can better improve D2 instead.
All D2 needs is an improvement and/or time-to-time addition of content (packs).
Long story short: a further DLC would make way more sense, both for us the player base and the developers.

Take a look to WoW and its development over the years. There is no WoW2 yet, but you can hardly compare a vanilla wow with todays state of the game anymore. They improved a lot on tech and gameplay side without restarting the franchise.... For a reason: its way more efficient versus doing a new game from the very beginning.
I thought the same about D1 and... here we go - D2

D2, which has 2 times smaller map and a half of additional content.

    D3? No, thanks.
